I've noticed all the american made companies have supply issues and it seems they do it on purpose for, exclusivity? or idk, but it means people can't buy their knives. like what's the point of having a popular brand if you don't make enough for people to buy... just means they're gonna buy from overseas. American based knife companies need to produce more volume.

Spyderco always have amazing edges and Hogue is a very close second in my opinion and as awesome as Hinderer knives are, for every one they sell they probably loose two because of customer service. Once again completely my opinion but I've not met very many people that have had a good experience. Not talking about quality of the knives, I own several and they are amazing, purely customer service is horrible.

The one steel Spyderco never uses is Nitro-V which is an amazing blade steel I'd be stoked to see them using it in their line-up and also Sal can we get some more fixed blades pleeease! Bring back the puuko and bushcrafter they'd sell like freaking hotcakes in todays knife world....

A properly heat treated Nitro V is a great steel! Problem is, it’s typically used on fixed blades. For folders, Nitro V is a little pointless when MagnaCut is so prominent. Outside of being cheaper in cost, of course. They’re similar in toughness but, MagnaCut is a lot more stainless and holds an edge longer.

Spyyderco is one of my favorite brands as a matter of fact, I own more of them than any other brand. However, I find it hard to believe that they come sharper than a Hogue or a Cold Steel who are known for their factory edges. Don't get me wrong, Spyderco comes sharp, just hard to swallow they are the sharpest from the factory.
