Easy Country Bread Recipe
6 C Flour (Bread Flour or All-Purpose)
2 Packets or 5 tsp Yeast
1 T Salt
1 T Sugar (Optional)
3 C Warm Water (100-105F)
Directions:
Combine everything in a large bowl. Stir into a ball, but do not knead.
Cover with plastic and let rise for 2.5 - 3 hours. (Or store in fridge for up to 3 days.)
When doubled, preheat oven with Dutch oven (with lid on) in the oven for 30 minutes.
Dump the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently shape into a ball. NO need to knead!
Put onto a large piece of parchment paper and put into the hot Dutch oven, cover, and bake for 1 hour.
Remove lid and bake for 20 more minutes. Adding a bowl of water onto the oven rack will help add to crispiness to the crust.
Remove, let rest/cool for at least 30 minutes on a rack, and ENJOY!
