I completely forgot some of the lyrics, it's been that long since I last heard this song. I listen to country music a lot, and it's not fair to amazing artists like Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan that some, if not most, of their songs never reach the airwaves of radio again. I don't want amazing songs like this, Dan and Shay's "From the Ground Up", and Jason Aldean's "Tattoos on This Town" to live on only in memory. 😭

Im in my mid 30s and I don't like country music. I never have, probably never will. My taste is punk (iggy pop, social distortion, rancid, operation ivy) I am also a recovering alcoholic, I tend to turn my nose up at anything condoning alcohol use. All of that being said, I heard this song playing in a gas station, I had to stop and listen to it until it was over. I was absolutely blown away be the amount of passion in this song. It really moved me. No, I won't be swapping my doc martins for cowboy boots any time soon, but I now have a Blake Shelton song on my MP3 player.

I love this song- but Blake is really distracting in this video. His facial expressions are awful- he either looks like he is in pain or he is doing some weird raised eyebrow thing lol.

Blake met his wife Miranda during a stage performance on a reality show. At that time he was married to someone else. He and Miranda felt a connection up on stage and it wasn't that much later that he got divorced. My guess is he doesn't want the same thing to happen twice.
