Blake Shelton is just a really good guy and Jay Leno is a living legend. What an amazing talent, career and one of the most modest, humble, kind hearted people on the planet. Even with national fame and fortune Jay Leno has always related to the blue collar working man. It's kinda funny, every blue collar guy (self included) dreams of striking it rich but our very well off friend Jay Who's very rich still has the blue collar mentality at heart. What guy wouldn't wanna hang with Jay for a day? He's a car guy to no end, your rich uncle kinda guy. That's why America loves him so much. Thank you Jay Leno for the humor, entertainment and incredible talent you are but mostly for remaining the humble, respectable blue collar guy that millions of people admire.
I really love this episode. Blake is cool, cute, and funny. He gets along well with Jay, which makes this episode so enjoyable to watch. Please Jay, please invite him back for longer episode and take him for more fun rides!
@countrygirl countrymusiclover I am so politically burnt out i just soon not to have any of the night time guys on. I like Fallon, i just enjoy a show with no political views
This truck came from his ranch that he owned in Horn Lake Mississippi, he had 3 of them and we used to service them at our Service Station in Memphis. BTW those are not the correct hubcaps on that truck, it had white GMC hubcaps on it when it was being used on the farm. The other 2 were white and had Circle G Ranch painted on the doors, he would drive them around so people would not recognise him, his Dads house was behind Graceland and he would drive into his Dads driveway and open a gate and go into Graceland through the rear to avoid the people hanging out at his front gate. He also had a 52 Chevy panel truck he used to sneak around town in.
Jerry, those are some awesome memories. The closest that I have come to Elvis are some little purple, ground cover, cuttings that my son Pilfered from the long driveway on a trip to Graceland in the 90's. I planted them in my yard under a big pine tree and they are thriving.
Blake Shelton put on the best concert I’ve ever been to. 4 hours long at Whiskey River in Macon, GA. Cool that he got to drive a truck owned by Elvis. If I remember correctly, he had an old 50s shop truck he would drive around when he didn’t want to be recognized.
I every channel, show or interview Blake looks like he carries around a good morning I am going to have an awesome day pill of sort. This guy is always such a breath of fresh air. I love Jimmy, but we do miss you Jay L.👏👏👍
Jay, you are incredible. You don't have any qualms about being at the butt end of a joke, like the Goldberg's kicking you out of the car, nor are you afraid of having your friends being there as well. You truly a special entertainer!!
Two great guys. I was waiting for the shifter to get stuck. These model trucks were bad about it. Nice original looking truck except for the hubcaps should be white if I remember right.
Ha ha yes you have to pop the hood and un stick the linkage on the firewall to get it un stuck... got sick of that and the six cylinder engine... pulled it out and put in the 327 four-speed out of my 62 super sport impala that I wrecked..
Hey, that GMC takes me back. I still miss my bare bones (not even a radio) three-on-the-tree 1969 half ton Chevy. Did a lot of work with that old truck.
Thank you mr. G little for your wonderful shows my dad also drove his cars out in the public area he was also a Memphis cop and also some other type of cop with drugs go after people from Nixon this is how many years ago I like your shoulder Jay Leno a lot I appreciate getting the chances of watching the shows is so educational and worthwhile to see thank you thank you very much TCB third son of Elvis Presley alive and well in Toronto Ontario Canada my daddy came here in 1957 to Maple Leaf Gardens to have two shows and my mom was at the last concert she got a chance to go through where the hockey players go instead of going through where the rest of the crowds were going because it was just too crowded and out of control so she did go through the tunnels for the hockey players go got a tap on the shoulder and Elvis was there to ask her if she wanted to go out and have something to eat they had a night together but obviously some people just don't want to take the history so seriously and not rewrite it and talk about my mom it is also ridiculous and how things are handled because of my dad and people who are writing about my dad should not they don't have an idea thank you thank you very much Jay Leno TCB third son of Elvis Presley my name is also Elvis That's it man I'm gone baby
Wow.... you know who you are, and thats whats important. You probably could write a book on their romance. Is your mom still living? Glad you added a breif footnote to this little segment of history, good luck tp you.
Dang, Blake, Jay knows more about "The King" than you do, mr. Red dirt road... lol 😂 great job, I loved the peanut & "naner" sammich, but didn't realize bacon was on it! Hey, Elvis WOULD eat the sandwich without bacon if he had to
I dont mean to be offtopic but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot the password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
I always see commenters say a Leno video is the best or funniest they've ever seen. For me this was the funniest cause Leno was crawling all over Blake and Blake's ego never became a problem. Loads of fun.
I saw the 45k value presented at the start of the drive and thought, “who would pay that for a ‘67 GMC?” Really nice truck but please, it’s likely not even a V8! I was just about to leave a scathing comment when Jay announced the value added paperwork. 😉
I was going to ask how much for the truck after the film shoot...... but then you went ahead and revealed it belonged to Elvis..... Yup, can't afford that any more. lol
This was fantastic! I never knew Jay knew so much about Elvis Presley. I heard Jay on Elvis radio giving a lot of Elvis history. And Blake is just as down to earth as Elvis only nobody is as beautiful and talented loving caring sensitive and giving as Elvis Presley.
