A clip from Pick Of The Week from 1992 where this gem of a clip was shown showing Hertfordshire Buses getting help from a familiar face. Re-uploaded in better quality.
Good old Blakey. A comedy hero very much missed. God bless all of them on On The Buses, they were great..I've met Anna Karen a few times but would love to have met Stephen Lewis who was a very private man apparantly. Got them all on DVD.
On the buses ended 50 years ago yet I still hear people saying things like that c••t at work is worse then Blakey😂 this is from people in their 30s&40s.
That was pretty standard fare in the 90s - i remember as a kid growing up in the 90s in North London going to Edmonton Green for 40p /£1.10 return. it jumped to 90p later in the 90s .
''Students!....Students! Bloody lotta layoutbouts. Long hair an' all. I remember in my day we 'ad to work for a livin' And we didn't 'ave 'busses. No we 'ad to walk t' work. Bleedin' lotta lazy sods. Coupla years in the army 'ould do 'em a power o' good....They'll be in the 'busses puttin' their feet up on the seats.''
R.i.p. to the regular cast members in 0n the buses. I was a fan of the series but my mother could not stand stephen lewis. He is very funny. The films are brilliant too.
