I do not know why people like Afia Pokua who should know better would blindly compare UK and America to Ghana. Consider the cultural and socioeconomic political environment of the countries. In America when you register to vote you have to one of three options: Republican, democrat or independent. Most artist you see endorsing candidates in America are established, have their core base, and were seen aligning themselves to a political group earlier in their career. Even that when they endorse candidates they come under attack and suffer loses. So do not compare an underground artist coming up to be embraced fully by the general public. Shatta sang for Mahama with Mahama paper and quickly did nana Kalypo. Sark is known to be npp supporter but never seen on their platforms. Up and coming artists should have global audience before endorsing candidates.
