These new shelves work perfectly for your preferred aesthetic, and optimizing your space. What do you think you would've done if the Blaliden didn't exist? DIYs, or Billy bookcase?
Probably not the Billy. They look nice but they don’t have glass on the sides just the front I think. I think that’s an add on actually. Not sure what I won’t have went with
I still really like the look of the Detolfs but I'm very intrigued by the Blaliden. I do prefer the look of one figure per shelf like you do but there are a few figures that absolutely have to be displayed together(Han & Chewy; R2 & 3PO).
Great review..thank you for this. I have a Detolf and will need to expand and buy more ..so your review sold me on the new Blaliden. Here in NJ USA the detolf are completely gone. The blaliden will be what I need since my room is a bit small. Again thanks for putting up this video to help out the community.
Great comparison of both options mate! You did really well to stay subjective😃👍🏻 Personally I think I’m always going to be a detolf fan, mainly because of the unrestricted view from any angle and because of space requirements - I like the the bigger shelf space so I can pack more figures in 😅 But NGL your Blaliden and collection setup looks absolutely stunning (i like how each individual figure is effectively “framed”) and I definitely think you made the right choice for your display and how you collect! Excellent video, really enjoyed it 🤘🏻
I prefer the Detolfs. I can appreciate getting more figures in the smaller display areas of the Blalidens, but I love the clean museum aesthetic of the Detolfs. I will always love the glass and metal feel of Detolfs especially with the frameless unobstructed view, the chunky black frames of the Blalidens are not for me. But your figures and displays look f'n awesome either way.
Hi :) Thanks for the video! I'll have a few of these B shelves deliverved but i'm getting the ones with the lights. The smaller size cabinet is ideal for my living space
I own both I prefer the look of the BLALIDEN but one thing the Detolf has over all the other cabinets is the easy access to custom shelf brackets. I'm waiting for a 40CM 1:7 scale figure from Arknights. My Milsbo has multiple levels but the with the detolf you have a lot more freedom My favourite Cabinet has to be the Horizontal Rudsta. After watching{ Ha That figures} Rudsta mod to stack 2 together, cutting the legs down on both was easy with a dremel tool.
Hi Shane Great video as always. Your pronunciation of Blåliden sounds better than the word here in Scandinavia. You can't write the correct pronunciation because Å is not always pronounced as an A. And the same goes for D, at least in this case it doesn't I can send you an audio file on IG with the correct pronunciation if you want? Have a nice day
