That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard lol. Trust me their kids will have way less trauma that those that don’t gentle parent.Or would you prefer they hit their kids?

Agree! And trauma doesn't always come from parents, you can have an amazing home, but as they become teens they'll get exposed to so much that you all can't control and that could be traumatizing

I 100% have to agree with Jonathan even if Franco is only 2 they know they are smart and it’s important to teach them desde chiquitos what “NO” means because if not they become spoiled and want to do whatever they want when they want and no one can tell them no
@magdalenadiaz495
@magdalenadiaz495 Месяц назад
Jonathan is right you do have to teach Franco consequences to actions ofc don’t over do it he did a great job like he said he wasn’t in a dangerous situation it’s best for him to learn from his parents not from the world. Now he’s more cautious with doors which was the main goal Blanca got to let your kids learn 1 way or another again it’s best if YOU show him instead of others because we want what’s best for them you have to take that with every aspect of their lives from doors to personal life experiences they’re going to go thru. Blanca is an amazing loving mom and Jonathan is definitely going to be the best person they’ll learn from. Perfect duo ❤ yall will raise amazing children together

Childhood trauma has hurt me immensely. I don’t write this for sympathy but at 6 I was put in foster care for a year and past around to different families for 3 months increments. I was finally adopted but into a “Amish” strict family hundreds of miles in the middle of New Mexico on a ranch. We were homeschooled and separated from all social life and electronics. I don’t know anything about tv shows, music artists, nothing. I graduated and then “ran away” at 21. Now I am suffer from so much stuff. I have no family at all. Besides my husband and babies. 😢❤They are my blessings and I thank God for them. All this to say i told my husband everything about me on our first date. I let him know I’m not normal. And I would be hard to date lol! Now we’re about to have our 9 yr anniversary ❤

It made me teary 9:35 because im those moms that doesn't get help. I still have my mom but shes not those moms that will help out when needed or while your healing... my husband helps for a few days or a week before he goes to work...and then thats when at 1 week of delivering i start doing it alk. Cooking, cleaning picking up and dropping kids off school...while taking care of a new born and dealing with your postpartum body and everything around it. Its super hard i wish i had help.. 😢

Hang in there, just think that one day you will be the mom to your daughter or your daughters in law. You will be there supporting and being everything you needed. I am at the same boat like you and it sucks but this time I am trying to prepare myself by hiring someone to help me at the house and meal prep before giving birth. Stay strong

Hi yall! Parenting is tough and never gets easier. Every year you learn something new and there are new needs for the child. It’s a never ending cycle. Focus more on your relationship and make sure yall are okay so the kids feel love. If the parents are not okay the kids won’t be okay in the long run. I say put your partner first and the kids will feel the love in the home. Cause if your mad at your spouse it can effect your mood and your kids won’t see the best version of you. My son is 8 and I learned this the hard way :(

It’s tough girl. Three kids one in school a toddler, a 2 month old. It’s hard, no help. Everything just me and my partner. But still very thankful. We do what we can. Not try to over do it because that’s when it gets stressful. And yes you’re very blessed, but you didn’t ask for it. I didn’t ask to not have not have any help, it’s just life. As long as our kids are healthy that’s all that matters. Don’t over think it. Just be thankful you have your babies. I know it’s easier said than done, but you got this ! Remember you’re feeding your baby through you and it could affect her. I am too so I can’t stress it. She’s going to be 2 months on the 19th and she wants no bottles or formula which is stressful but I see it as she’s better being next to me while eating and depends all on me. See the positive through it all. God Bless you momma 🤍🙏🏼

Since I started following Blanca and seen her become a mom and her gentle technique on parenting. I myself have implemented that in my life with my four kids! I am a single mom and even though their dad is around. Most responsibility is on me so to my kids I'm the mean parent! hearing them or being scared to come to me even though I lay no hands on them really made me so sad. I grew up with both parents and a really close relationship with my mom! Knowing my daughter would open up to my mom and not me or telling her grandma not to tell me so I wouldn't have to worry broke me. She is only 12 and hearing that made me question my parenting skills! I love to hear others so I can learn and grow as a person even if I have four kids or 32 years old. Because the trauma my kids are going through, I didn't have and I don't know how it is to grow up with just a mom\Dad.

I just want you to remember that he is also adapting to a baby sister and eventually she will come to an age when he will be able to play more with her that he will feel so grateful to have a baby sister. embrace the blessings sweetie pie you are so strong and you have an amazing family and fans that adore you 😘 including me!

Taking a Child Psychology course, seems like Jonathan parental style is Authoritative. “Children of authoritative parents tend to show self-reliance and independence, high self-esteem, high levels of activity and exploratory behavior, and social competence.” It’s a rough guess but this parent is both affectionate and brings control. A study was done with 2-7 year olds with this parenting style, so implementing discipline and consequences at an early age is effective. Because of social media, gentle parenting is a word used to describe permissive parenting which is low controlling and high in affection. Props to you guys discussing each other’s approach and sharing w us! Textbook: Rathus, S.A.,(2022). Child and Adolescence: Voyages in Development. Cengage: 7th edition

He wanted to raise us different frm what his dad the asshole was to him and his siblings. My mom was more firm but she's was cool. 2 of my brothers became drunks 1 a gang member and we were raised in a good home. No matter how gentle or mean you raise them they will always choose their own path and as parents we just have to pray that they choose to do the right thing. Cos as parents we knw we did our best.

But I truly suggest you distracting yourself and keeping busy! I remember I would tell my hubby to take me out the house and we would visit my parents or the store or park or eat. es difícil girl pero es algo que realmente no se habla siento que se debería pero realmente muchas veces uno calla para que luego no digan que somos exageradas . yo tengo 5 niños y tengo 31 años eh pasado por mucho pero siempre eh tratado de cambiar mi mente siento que yo sola eh tratado de ayudarme a no dejarme caer en depression o el posparto cuando sentía que estaba mal yo misma me decía que tenia que salir adelante y que tengo muchas razones para echarle ganas !! es difícil pero ay que echarle ganas !!!

Hey guys, just listening in and heard Blancas sister they with you! . Would would you ever let your child Belen at that age go live with somebody else and I think that would be a great subject to talk about because I know a lot of kids that have resentment because their parents left them in another country because they wanted to do better for themselves, and the child has resentment. The parents have a guilt and I just think it would be a neat subject to talk about if y’all want to touch on that ever I would love your

I love the podcast in general, pero estás Topics I really really enjoy and love them. I have 3 kids and I wish I had the support system Blanca has. Right now, mi cuñada está embaraza (she has had 3 miscarriages) and we are all really happy and excited. Cada q los escucho pienso en toda la ayuda y consejos que le puedo ofrecer a mi cuñada y a su esposo. Thank you for sharing your experiences ❤ love you guys

I’m not judging you guys communication with each other but to avoid escalating arguments I would recommend being open minded to each other’s POV & not always wanting to win the battle or always be right. Iv been reading the Subtle Art of not giving a fuck & it talks about how everyone has different values which brings out diff. opinions on things. And like Blanca said as long as Franco is getting taught the right lessons/values then all that matters is you guys supporting each other in doing that. 🤍 I look up to y’all as parents! I don’t have kids yet but hope to be as patient as y’all.

I am a teacher and the word no can also mean a boundary. Sometimes kids won't understand and they will keep asking why this and why that. But if you take time to explain the reasons behind your no, it is always received better than just flat out no. Because I agree no sometimes seems harsh but an explanation attached to it is better. Sometimes no, can be because mom and dad are tired.
