Congratulations!!! Thanks for your reaction. The dinner in the novel was brutal. I get what KN was trying to convey, but even in "normal" relationship your interests don't have to be the same. And let's be honest, who likes to talk about finances with their partner that's just weird 😂😂😂 and even if you can learn about this stuff. It is not that hard. I love the sofa scene. AN understood KN right away. She knew there was a reason for the dinner. I have to say that Yoko is surprising me every episode. It is easy to forget, but she really thinks about every movement and look she does. The acting is just amazing.

In the novel Khun Neung was more twisted, spiteful, heartless and stone-cold in the dinner and in her attempt to convince Aneung that they are from different worlds and therefore must break up... She knew Aneung would not unsertand a word and expected her to feel left aside What she did not expect was how devoted and how much Aneung loves her.... And then... the Metorite Chet that led to the extinction of the dinosaurs...

(long) I was waiting :D I'm curious about your reactions to episode 5 (and 6, of course). I am far from judging KN - on the contrary, I understand it very well. In my life, a relationship with a large age difference (I was 39, she was 25) was definitely more tiring and lasted a little over a year - today I know that I tried to link the state of a "serious relationship" with the state of "I'm going to a party" - it ended badly :D. Faye (edit: KN of course but still... its hard to not see Faye and Yoko) transfers her experiences to Anung - KN doesn't want a bad relationship with her grandmother and Anung's family, the young one is willing to throw away her entire family (because she didn't have any) and is ready to put everything on one card. KN (I don't know why, maybe it's lack of life experience) thinks that it can somehow be sorted out nicely. Well, probably not. Interesting fact about the pinky finger - my wife, as one of the tasks for students, asked for interesting presentations from around the world - one of the students made presentations about experiences and sacrifice for love in Asia (Japan, I think) and devastated us (me) pinky finger as an expression of promise or love. It turns out that they cut off the little finger of their hand as an expression of the greatest attachment and love to another person. They cut it - there was some gradation, from the ring to the cut. And now every time I think (when I see such pinky promises) about the little finger of my hand in a dramatic way. I was gifted with this story because I forced my wife to watch episodes 4 and 5 :D. It's being shared.

Congratulations!!!! It's the look on Anueng's face when Chet proposes that I just love. I am not sure if she was more embarrassed to have him as a father at that point, or if she just flat out wanted to kill him, but if looks could kill he would be a dead guy. lol Sam: "But you won't let her face it alone anyway." This is a line to store away for later use. It is at this point in the story where Khun Nueng begins to show how immature she really is and it's only going to get worse because she keeps trying to hide it behind protecting Anueng which is completely BS. lol
