Takes me back to the day where all rap video's looked like this, just the dude spitting, his crew in the back, and a shot or two of the DJ doing his thing. Props, RIP Guru.
Poet one of the hardest, underrated, lesser known rappers from the mecca of gangsta rap, QueensBridge. Been a fan since late 90's when I found his PHD album from '91 and was a huge fan of the early 20's Screwball albums. He spits real Street gangsta rap. Much love from B-More
Blaq Poet is nothin short of incredible. I love this, this is Hip-Hop... no such thing as REAL Hip-Hop, it's either Hip-Hop or it's not. Is it just me or does this video remind anyone of Nas' "It Ain't Hard To Tell" when all the homeys was in the background??? Blaq Poet's a breath a fresh air in an age where real RAP (Rhythm And Poetry) inventors are few and far in between.
Black Poet still got that flavor this fire. This is mad hard.Done in true "Queens Bridge" fashion. The" Blaq Print "album is another hip hop classic.Who would have known him and Premo would be a match made.
I can't say that I love Poet's music or the message it sends out to the community. Gotta say I love Blaq Poet, I went to school with him back in the day. A really good guy, much love.
I just saw these 2 in Amsterdam - it was the best Hip Hop Gig i've been to in 15 years. Premo seems to be the only one fighting to keep the real shit alive and thanks to NYG'Z Screwball and Year round records its all happening.... Keep Hip Hop alive amidst all this bullshit!!
This album is gettin not even a piece of the respect it deserves. This is REAL HIP HOP. We need more music like this. Radio stations gotta get behind this stuff and breathe a little breath back into this beast. Respect where it all began...Sedgwick & Cedar 73. Pay homage...
+Hallucinogen +Hallucinogen Selena got problemz I guess :D @Hallu: u damn right man. Even Preemo we can say. Well, who cares? Let's call him God. The issue is settled then :D
That that Primo beat is to to nasty.. I like the visual effects of the hood and his boys in the background no naked budget chicks........ I like his energy and I like the frequency of dj premier beats with the backdrop....... I can feel a paradigm shift!!!!!
Afghan Lion lmao they have a bunch of greats but not all are from Queens you fucking moron... Big Pun Krs 1 Mysonne Rakim Dmx Prodigy Tupac Max B Camron Papoose
New York FUCKING City! Ain't nuttin' changed but the weather. Underground for life! Peace to all underground heads East to West Coast and worldwide. Blaq Poet & Preem = phenomenal!
Hip hop aint dead. We've got some dudes out now that are really fucking it up for the mainstream right now. Even dudes like Kendrick & Action Bronson are making real moves. Hip Hop is healthy as fuck in 2012.
