They finally updated fridges to work more reasonably with power. Once the food is cooled down to refrigerated level, the fridge goes into low power mode.
If you increase the minimum threshold for the radbolt generators, they'll fire more rads per shot, but fire less frequently, meaning you'll lose less rads per shot to decay.
13:20 maybe there should be a system of "danger sense", and make things lower priority if the dupe's path goes somewhere dangerous, with radiation, temp. difference, and breathability. It would use some processing power calculating that though, and ONI is already heavy with most play styles.
Don't forget to Research your artifacts. In this new research Station for artifacts. You remove the neutronium bits and get with some luck and oszialltor recharge pack. :)
Try making the latrine wallpaper on the rockets made out of dirt, that way once the pooper fils up they can just deconstruct the background to get more dirt
You should pressurze that storage thing, and do it at a high enough pressure that nothing off-gasses. The gas put in could be temp-managed. And, the dupes wear exo-suites to protect against the pressure. Or, have seperate sections, one for things that have extremley high temps (With a vacume-water lock), and one with everything else. Since (I think) most of the stuff that off-gasses is the regular-temp stuff, have that pressurized and the rest not. Then, that airlock at the outside also leads to the rockets! Also, jetsuits? (I also plan on putting this on the last video, since you are most likley to see this there, even though I know you might see this here)
If you put a space scanner/telescope (whatever it's called) into a rocket, you'll be able to uncover space a lot faster. It has range diameter of 7 (center being the rocket of course), whereas the cartographer module only uncovers tiles that the rocket occupies.
@@brothgar To be clear, you don't need to use both for this to work. However, the cartographer module lets you pick an uncovered tile as a destination, you can't do that without it. But with the telescope, the tile will be uncovered before you even get close to it, so that doesn't really matter.
So... Brothgar... Any chance of making an entire other planet into a storage/retrieval system using the orbital launchers? If not, I challenge you to do it 😁.
Radbolt generation isn't tuned very well, you either need to use highly compressed shinebugs, highly compressed waste, or maybe least cheaty, but still pretty silly; Collecting the waste off a radbolt rocket launch which you can relaunch over and over without any cost. Oh and the rocket coming back glowing hot with radiation seems to be a bug, because it doesnt usualy do that, but you need to restart to get it to turn back to normal.
13.20 You'd have thought that after all the scaldings of the past, They'd have evolved to withstand such temperatures at this point. After all, You can't spell evolution without i(nvoluntarily wading through scalding radioactive nuclear waste) And did you see the new station? The artifact analysis one (I think it's in stations). It lets you brush them off. And the rocket landing and mass producing radiation is a glitch that randomly happens when a rocket lands. It fixes once the rocket relaunches
Well, it’s cycle 1150ish and the teleport hasn’t been used yet, hmmmmm) But if you have all the stuff like oil and uranium on the initial planetoid… uhh
I'm only at the beginning of the video, but a fun way to generate radbolts for your rockets would be compressing nuclear waste. It creates an insane amount if you get enough in a tile.
When you are in orbit of a planatoid you do use a tile. Other yt creator tested this. So the second tile traveled is 1 out of what you have. P.s. Your first nuclear rocket still had 5 tiles left
How well do the individual duplicant apartments work with their AI? I've never figured out a way to get them to go to mess hall first and use bathrooms after, or in the morning instead of immediately when break starts.
Try just placing a storage bin with oxylite on the rocket capsule, not only does it solve oxygen needs, it gets rid of co2, as it offgas and deletes it
You do realise gas outputs inside rockets have a toggle for which gas to output from the tank? I mean, clearly you don't. But it means you don't need the messy piping hell workaround inside.
you used to be able to just put a spaced out telescope into the rocket habitat module i would be surprised if they removed this feature but i have not done it in a while.
@Brothgar a bit challenge for you create a radioactive reactor but without reactor. will it be smaller, will it be next unlimited energy? Rad bolts generate grams 4k+ C nuclear waste.
Would it be possible to set up an entire asteroid that only does power generation and sends ships filled with POWER to bases on asteroids without their own power generation??
Many small reasons mostly Abyssalite is hard to dig, you can't really use it to build stuff, it's the outline that shows you where the biomes are/were, and it's a natural free perfect insulator that once destroyed, is difficult to restore. Late game and even late midgame almost always involves destroying all abyssalite in your way but before that it just isn't necessary or helpful.
Brothgar I think you're counting space tiles wrong, or there's an active bug. Getting into orbit consumes one tile of travel (I'm pretty sure), but it also only consumes one file of travel to get to the tile ADJACENT orbit. Basically you get 3 tiles distance from orbit, but it looks like you're only traveling 2 tiles
