honestly will never be able to get over how Amane's Astral Heat is either extremely adorable (majority of the cast), literally lifesaving (Platinum back to Trinity Glassfield, Hazama back to Kazama Kval), or outright dangerous (Young Valkenhayn)! the fact that it only deals ten damage total is also nice, since it means Amane casted a mostly harmless spell, which will wear off once he takes his leave from the now adorable combatant. too good. 💖
He transforms them into their most Dandy state. The reason why Valkenhayn is transformed back into his younger form is that he becomes easier to talk with while he is young, full of energy and vigor. Why? Because what makes him strong is his dedication to his role. Him being able to do his duty makes him easy to get along with: it wouldn't charge how furious or dangerous he is, no matter in what form he is in. He just needs to do his job, whether or not he can actually do it. So the best way how to make him happy is to bring him back to his youth. The point of the astral isn't to depower the enemy, but to make them more powerful, more pure but less dangerous also. Making Valk into a better butler is the only way of making him more dandy without defanging him and going against his character entirely. It's like... a relaxing trip to the spa. It's not meant to hurt, and if it does, it was hurting already without you knowing.

This astral is mostly harmless, and I'd say most results are positive. Really, its mostly harmless, it does 10 damage. I mean sure there can be dire consequences of turning a MC into a child but at least they're adorable now.
I would assume that the astral would not force the person to grow all the way back up again just to reach who they used to be again. I would think it would just mostly be a subduction technique that, after amane takes their leave, wears off and returns them back to normal

He is know for having the ability to reverse people's age ( to such a point that he even turned a woman into a fetus). Jojo also had a fighting game, where Alessi is playable and capable of temporaly turning their opponent into kids, limiting their offensive abilities.
Quick question. I'm not familiar with Blazblue so i don't know what the ages are of certain charcters or if some are immortal but, what the hell is up with Platinum? She look like she grew up instead of getting aged down
Platinum is a vessel that holds 3 souls, a young Girl, a young Boy and Trinity Glassfile (the one you see here) IDK what platinum origin story is She never gets one to begin with but, she's just a host for Trinity Glassfile Soul (just like Hazama is a host for Terumi Soul) Since Trinity Glassfile Is the Main point of this character, they showed Her to us (and also referencing their Light novel series, Blazblue: Phase shift the origin story of Trinity Glassfile and the Six Heroes) You should read it if You want more clear reasoning behind who's this character.

Wait wait woah.... I just realized something. Why doesn't Rachel just take amane into the past where Clavis was still alive and make him young again. Clavis was the strongest vampire ever lived and knows almost everything in life, it would be better if he goes back as a young person.
At one point Relius mentions that Calvis’s death was unnatural. As in he was at the prime of his health, but he suddenly rapidly aged to what we see him in the novels and flashbacks. So I don’t think it would help. Plus all three of them are Observers, so I’m pretty sure that none of them would agree to do it.
@@azureheart2846 Clavis, like Rachel, was an Onlooker, like Amane is. Because Clavis kept interfering in events, he died as a punishment for misusing his powers, much like how Rachel was weakened for interfering too much

Not really a trap. Crossdresser yes, but trap would imply that in addition to looking the part that they act the part convincingly enough for there to be a majority mistaking the gender. While Amane definite dresses the part and sometimes acts the part it's not very difficult to tell he's a male.
Well, we see what it did to Naoto who isn't from the main BB universe. That being said, I imagine the real reasons for their exclusion are: A.) They'd have to make new sprites for the entire non-BB cast. and B.) They'd likely want permission from the owners of said characters for them to experience the effects of the finish.
