Those Air To Air Rapid Cancel strings were so clean. Damn, I've got a lot to learn before I can truly main Hazzy, but some of those damage numbers are INSANE for true combos.
Yeah that's one of his Main enders. It's a really good air to air because it puts him on the ground fast even if it whiffs so the other player can't retaliate easily once they land. Plus it does some good damage.
If you wanna really style on people, my advice is to start using 'force stand' overdrive combos: xx into Overdrive, 5C, 5D-D, J2D-D and repeat. This puts the opponent in a disgusting standing 50/50 they can't burst out of because of overdrive whilst staying close to get max life drain. Here's a few possible options the opponent has and what you can do to punish them: xx 665C 236C: Your basic tick throw into command throw. Leads to ok damage anywhere and can give you free corner carry/corner mixup tricks. xx 66(anything) Throw: Of course, the counterable but higher damage version. xx 66(anything) 6A: Overhead and overdrived serpent snake kick for high damage MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE: xx 665C 214D-632146D: THIS is the reset people fear. With 50 Meter you can reset into the overdrive version of your command grab super. Not only does this extend the life drain to an obnoxious amount, it also does crazy damage and is completely invulnerable to any attempts to mash out of this reset, DP or otherwise. I've measured this doing around 4K raw when you factor in the life drain, not even counting the life you've gained from it this is worth the attempt. And finally, xx 665C 6C: This catches EVERYTHING. Jump outs, DPs, mashed normals... it catches and avoids them all, leading to a clean 4K at worst, 5K with 50 meter and if you have enough overdrive left... ANOTHER MIXUP! This mechanic can single handedly comeback entire games, and can even be done as a reversal option using the overdrive invuln. Imo its the most crucial tool in any Hazama's kit, and easily the best use of overdrive there is.
