While I am by no means intending to main Hibiki, this guide is honestly one of the best, if not the best, guide I have seen for a character in any fighting game. Really wish there were similar guides for other games/characters.

Recently getting back into this game, and Hibiki has always been who I've tried to main as he's the FG character I've had the most fun using across all games I play. This is totally at the same level (maybe even better) as the UNIST tutorials/missions, explaining everything, I even grabbed a notebook to jot down notes and everything haha and will be studying this. Thank you so much for putting so much into making this, this is just excellent! 🙂

I am a newcomer to the series with this being the first title i ever touched on and although i needed to read some things twice cause it took me a moment to piece together all the BB related speech, this was really helpful and had a really nice mix beetween simply displaying facts and properties of the characters moves as well as recommending combinations and situational actions based off those properties. I also wanna say that i appreciate the amount of work that must have gotten into getting so deep up into a character and as well in showing off the amount of combos you did. I liked and immediately shared with my friend, whom i started picking up BB with lately, who is striving to be a Hibiki main in BBCF. Bet he's gonna love it and so do i, keep it up!

Nice work, man. I picked up Hibiki a few months back and while I figured out most of his tools on my own, I felt I was having issues with some of the smaller details for how to play him. This guide helped me affirm and improve on a lot of what I already knew, and taught me a lot of things I didn't even know about with Hibiki. Serious props to you, this is one of the best guides I've seen in a while.

I never knew how much I needed this hibiki guide holy shit. This is probably the best guide I've ever seen for an anime fighter so far, awesome work! I'm more motivated to up my hibiki game more. Didn't even think half this stuff was possible with him holy hell, I'm gonna steal a few of these combos and concepts xD. Once again, very nice guide!

this is probably the best video guide for a character i've ever seen, so thank you for taking the time to make it! that being said, though, is there a printable list of all his optimized combos anywhere? i don't have access to a second screen while in training mode...

This is honestly a guide by which most other guides should be measured, for any FG. Succinct, informative, very easy to understand and well laid out. Not needlessly long, but not so short it brings up more questions than answers. From a brand new BB:CF player and aspiring Hibiki main, Thank you. Its stuff like that's invaluable to me.

Why is there no more of guides like this? The only thing you find is combo videos that just show some combos. This is great because it shows the basics of the character in a very simple and easy to understand way. It also shows many different combos for many different situations. This guide is amazing and I wish there was more like it for more characters it would really help out so many people. This guide is the reason I decided to pick up Hibiki. Wish there were more.

As a beginner trying to main Hibiki, this was incredibly helpful. Particularly the tech chasing with jC and learning that 2D and 3D have projectile defense. Should help immensely with my Mai matches.

2D > 214A > 6B seems to only work at a specific distance. A single backstep from starting position to be exact.

As much as i would like to, I currently do not feel comfortable making guides for any other character as I have not had the time to properly study them. In the future, I may pick up a sub and release a video for them. But for right now, I have no plans to make other character guides. Gotta play the game for a bit first!

Can you please help me? I can't seem to do 214C into 5B>2C> 236AB in the corner. He'll do the 236A animation but for some reason won't do the B part of the move. Whenever I press B the opponent will glow white and the B move won't come out

Honestly, this is the best I've ever seen throughout youtube and I wish you could do more vids as well but why didn't you drop the combo description for the last clip? and how do you cope with the delays and all that cos I notice delays in my gameplay especially during 6A and 236AB>6BB. Its kinda hard

Thanks! I just thought of the last combo as a bonus, it is kind of hard and nuanced to get it to work, but i hope it inspires people to try their own combos with the character. Not sure about these delays you are experiencing. I find the input window to be pretty lenient so all i can suggest is to keep practicing and you will eventually get a feel of it. Or sometimes it will drop because the enemy has too much hitstun decay(?).

To get j.6D to crossup you have to hit the opponent at their toes (character specific). Here's the notation: (Opponent life less than 35%, 100% Midscreen) 34%-0% OD>FC 3D>j.6D>jc.6D>3D>3D>j.6D>jc.3D(whiff)>j.6D>jc.3D(whiff)>j.6D>jc.6D>4B>6D>222D(AH). Good luck!

i use 236AD and 236AA very sparingly. 236A~D for hard reads when i find my opponent is very buttonsy/mashy and is always trying to challenge my buttons, i use this move about once in every ten games or so. Honestly, best use i've found with 236AA is to safely end the round on a chip kill. Not a very useful tool in pressure when you can use other buttons/cancels. In regards to j,6D > jc.3D, all i can say is make sure your inputs are clean and that you know the jump cancel window. The cancel window is not very tight so take your time with it.

Apologies for all the lingo. Chicken blocking simply refers to jump blocking with the intention of avoiding the high/low mixups that you would have to block on the ground. More in-depth explanation: "Chicken blocking is used to describe a situation where a player would jump to block an incoming attack in the air instead of on the ground. The idea comes from when you land on the ground it cancels block stun recovery frames, the defending player is no longer in block stun, while the attacker is recovering from his/her attack and is unable to block, leaving them vulnerable to counterattack. Also while airborne you only need to block in one direction thus eliminating high/low mix-ups. Many players referred to this is a "chicken's" way to play."

I picked up Hibiki when I started playing BBCF a couple weeks ago with the rollback update, and while the guide is great, I don't see myself nowhere near doing any of these combos :( I'm still struggling with his last combo challenge, specially the high jc
