Can't wait for Mortal Kombat. Haven't bought one in years but I've pre-ordered 11 for Switch. After the direct today, which I'm assuming showed switch gameplay, I'm really happy with the look of the game.

This is a series I wish I could always have collected the core games just for the story alone. I do wish that the Blazblue series was released on the Switch as a complete set as opposed to just the final game. But after seeing so many story moments from RU-vid, it truly broke my heart when the lack of sales was the reason why an English dub wasn't present in the final game. And I truly hoped that a Switch port could've possibly warranted one, but sadly it doesn't seem like the case. But nonetheless I will eventually collect these games and finally experience the whole expansive story.

Dub is never English, it's always American. Games are always ruined by American OTT, shite acting. I'd rather just not have the option. It's one less thing to turn off. If I had stuck with FE3H in American, I probably would have hated a game that turned out to be one of my favourite games ever. It was abysmal. You're not missing out on anything. In 30 years of gaming I've barely heard any decent voice acting yet. Although I only played Rogue Galaxy for an hour, that did have OK VA I guess.

It really capture how characters fight in an anime. Very smooth and cutscenes are good.

Although I enjoy Dragon Ball Fighterz a lot due to the art style and story expanding on the anime, I prefer the way BlazBlue Central Fiction plays in terms of a fighting game. Easier to quickly play as well. Going to start the story mode. Love how there are so many options to play the game

Great review, happy to see you get into the strengths of the game, from the story to the game system. More or less convinced I want this game now. Weird exclusion at the start there though, mentioning every notable fighter except ARMS.

Well , that was a brilliantly well written review. i love a hardcore beat em up. This is a series i know, and to me this looks just as deep , and the mechanics look just as complex as all the truly great. fighters. i dont understand them like you do though. that comes through in the writing. nice one Akash !

Yeah, Akash smashed this one to be fair. For me, I don’t think many games get the balance as right as Street fighter in terms of simplicity in its gameplay mechanics but depth in terms of difficulty. However, this game has some very nice ideas in that respect such as the simplification of the controls meaning attacks do slightly less damage but are, of course, easier to perform. A great game and some cracking fighters on the switch now. Glen

I tried the demo for CTB and thought it was good, but I didn't like the simple combos or the tag aspect. As a Fighting game newbie on the whole, I guess I am not burned out and needing some new twist like that...so I never bought the game, but I did look at a few tournament matches of Centralfiction and thought that was awesome. When I saw them announce it for Switch, I knew I had to get it. Excellent game.

Well you won't have to wait long, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R (one of the best fighting games ever) releases this year, expected Q2 though no date is confirmed. If it's successful it wouldn't be a stretch to see them port Xrd Rev 2 as well, given how easily ArcSys ported Dragonball Fighters

Near perfect game this. I barely ever play it because I quite often need to free up HDD space and this is a bit of a storage guzzler at 11GB. When I do play it I always think it is amazing and thoroughly enjoy it. I paid about £13 in the sale quite a while ago and I would happily have paid double that. It is an exceptionally well polished production and an amazing game. The sound in this game is incredibly warm. It has been beautifully produced. Same for graphics, top quality and gameplay is slick, responsive and fun.

Not into fighters personally, even on the fence for mk 11 especially if they aint gunna pull a smash ult and have have most if not all fighters from past in it. great review though cool there is a story mode though!

People play the game casually, but dont expect that that means you wont have a hard time without having a general idea of what youre doing. Its a fighting game, not mario party.

I bought Cross Tag and enjoyed it but this one actually looks a lot better. I won't be getting it straight away but may pick up at some point. Another great review though.

I downloaded central fiction on steam and realized that it need 53 gb, i only have a few 15 gb so I downloaded guilty gear xrd rev instead. I intended to play chronophantasma but it was an old version of blazblue and only a few players online

Aw man if their is one thing i hate about Japanese games is their annoying voices in fighting games. Dragon ball fighter z lets you switch of the voices which is cool. The only game where i loved the Japanese original voices was in the old school Samurai showdown games. As for me thats a big turn off for Blazblue.

No one else finds it hard to see what’s going on in the game? Visual clarity is a very important part of fighting games in which I think this game is lacking. Also, how does this game feel? I tried the Cross Tag Battle demo and it felt slippery, floaty and had no hitlag. Is this game the same or does it feel better to play?
