Hilarious Blaze stories!!! On a side note, can someone tell me who the guy is at 1:30 (Trash crew?) with the biker vest on is? What group/music does he play? I noticed the submarine dolphins on his vest. As a fellow bubblehead from the same era, just wanted to check out his music. Thx!
Thanks! That Joe Don K Chips, if I recall. He’s a songwriter and performed long ago with Ricky Cardwell, but it’ll be difficult to find any recordings, that I know of. He raised Buffalo I believe up north of Austin. Don’t know if he’s still around or not. He was a great guy to interview and he talked about being on submarines. Felt Blaze would have made a good submariner.
I thought folk music was all about politics...Rod is a mixed-up dude. Kind of a weird music festival...But I understand if you do have kids around, you don’t want rowdy drunks hanging around.
