I saw the film, on netflix, thought I'd give a chance. I'd never heard of Blaze Foley before, but I'd heard the lyric, "I'll start talking again, when I know what to say" and was drawn in. I really liked the movie, watched it, once, sought out more songs, ans watched it again. All the acting it it was good. The guy who played Towns Van Zandt, the guy who played Blaze, but the little girl who played Syble I'd seen before, and I thought she was truly exceptional in this. Heck, I kinda fell in love with her in this movie. I must have listened to Clay Pigeons 25 times since watching the movie just a couple weeks ago. It is a really good movie and a touching story. I enjoyed it a lot.
I was introduced to blaze music probably 5or 6 years ago. I love clay pigeons. I play guitar and learned that song in his style as soon as I heard it. Funny my favorite line is “start talking again when I know what to say”. For me it means so many people talk just to hear themselves even when they don’t really have anything relevant to say
That's a bad statement froming you. The man was a legend that wasn't discovered quite yet. He had a soft spot for old people and kids he's got my respect.
