Man blaze is so underused she can keep up with sonic had fire powers has a cool personality and has a cool superform but instead we get classic sonic for the 1000th time

You know that Blaze is a good character when you came in without knowing her deal and still ended up liking her a lot LMAO

Her home dimension deserves its own game as we don’t see it a lot or know much about its lore. Perhaps give Blaze a royal family, give more attention to Marine and the Coconut Crew, and go more in depth with the Sol Emeralds. Maybe even her dimension’s equivalent to the Master Emerald.

I really love Blaze and honestly she kinda reminds me of Knuckles in a Way in sense they’re both former loners who learned to accept others and become friends with them

at first i loved blaze bc i thought she was a fashion icon girlboss. and she is. (homegirl runs in a lavender satin jacket and HEELS) but i think she can be relatable? she has much stress put on her and i like that she isnt as social as everyone else but still tries to make an effort to do things to the best of her ability!

I always looked at blaze as a retelling of Sonic's story but with actually words to read this time since it's only hinted at that Sonic was a bit of a lone wolf in the early games and the origin of how Sonic met Tails isn't set in stone I like to think Sonic was just as stand offish as Blaze was but with a cockier more go-get em attitude until he met Tails and saw what he was missing by not having any friends and Sonic 2's ending really displays the bond they have grown and how Sonic has grown to be less of a jerk and more open to making friends which is also harshly tested as well in Sonic 3 and Knuckles were Sonic is tasked with making a friend out of someone actively working for the bad guy and with a few gritted teeth and annoying set backs he manages to take what he learned from Tails about opening up to people and befriends Knuckles someone who is known for being stubborn hard headed and dull kinda like Sonic himself But maybe that's a bit of a stretch it's my working theory tho cause blazes friendship story REALLY feels like a modern retelling of something they couldn't tell properly in the genesis games

An interesting perspective, but I believe the reason that she is remembered so much is that, when a game makes you break your thumbs to beat a boss, you never forget it.

One thing I like about Blaze is actually how she moves. In a way, it's similar, yet different to Sonic. As we know, Sonic is known for breakdancing, either through taunting, when performing tricks, or even through Homing Attacks. His movements are strong, confident, almost cocky, like he's having fun. Blaze's style is similar to ballet. Her movements flow and there's a grace to it. It can best be seen when she spins, or even her victory animations. Whenever I've seen ballet incorporated into a fighting style, it usually gives a sense of precision and fluidity, with little to no wasted movement; every action taken has a purpose. Blaze's movements have a stern elegance.

Ever since I played Sonic Rush, Blaze instantly drew me near her because I could relate so heavily with her, and still do til this day, and overall i love her even more because of it! ♥

An ablazing job well done! Thanks for covering my most fav Sonic character! She definitely deserves her own game, and even spin-off series.

Sonic Rush was the very first Sonic The Hedgehog game I got as a kid. Ever since I have been following the series. This also meant that this was my introduction to the character Blaze the Cat. Ever since I did not like how Sega changed her story, then reduced her to a background character who was only playable in spinoffs. I only dream that one day she gets back in the spotlight. She's truly nothing but an underrated gem.

The short novel series published by SoJ on a regular basis has feartured Blaze recently, and it depicted her really well. I want to see her more in games too.

I don't think I've been able to relate to a videogame character as much as her. That's why she's my favorite. I would've turned out the same way if I was bullied for my powers as a child. On top of her great design and cool powers, her personality is extremely endearing and relatable.

Excellent video Nick X3 For me.... Blaze is easily My No. 1 Favorite Sonic Character, and of course.... My No. 1 Favorite Female Sonic Character overall. X3 And I agree with ya: She needs to be playable in a future Sonic Game again! :D Just wondering though: Who do you ship Blaze with? For me.... I ship her with Sonic.

Don't get me wrong Blaze is a top tier character but I still can't help but think her arc and the overall story of Rush is sloppily handled. Jreviews said it best when the dialogue and characters are so inorganic and hamfisted going on about this whole anime esque friendship, but what they actually mean by that is have papi jesuschucknorris Sonic do everything for you and have this rebellious anti authority teenager tell the serious sovereign young woman what's right and wrong. So inspiring. Let's be real here, Sonic has never really ever been good at doing this friendship is magic schtick and has been getting worse by the minute. An egregious example being that Sonic and on rare occasions Shadow, Silver and Blaze are allowed to go super already dents that whole thing cause it always cycles back to these characters (which boils down to "exclusively Sonic" about 90% of the time) being inherently more important to the rest. Now back to Rush; I get what they're trying to do here with Blaze, but the people around her that she's supposed to go through the arc are with literal aliens. She is imo quite justified with her behavior and has no real good reason to trust anyone with her mission let alone listen to them harping on and on about friendship and Sonic like 'bitch I don't know who any of you fuckers are leave me alone'. And it seems that the story kinda forgot that important aspect because everyone (besides Sonic I guess) is still portrayed as an obnoxious hindrance to Blaze and her quest anyways, even Cream too with the whole babysitter shit (gee what a wonderful detail to contribute to her arc /s). Yet after all this Blaze learns that friendship is good because... Sonic said so????? Yeah no foh lol, I see why she lashed out in Zone 7, I would've done the same thing too.

Out of all the Sonic girls blaze is my number one ever since I first played Rush I going to love her as a character and she became one of my favorites her entire character Arc in the game was executed perfectly and I hope we can see more Blaze in future Sonic games

You should look at Rush Adventure some time! Her characterization in IDW is very reminiscent of the one she had in RA and since you like her you might get a kick out of it. Do you like the Rush series' gameplay?

I think out of all the characters who transitioned to 3D, Blaze got the worst of it. She was only playable in Sonic 06 and Black Knight in 3D, and where she's fine in one area she sucked in the other. Black Knight "Story-Wise", I can kind of forgive since it's just her role playing as someone else, but her gameplay was sluggish in comparison to the others, her canonical stage "The Cauldron" sucks, and she's only playable in the 2nd half of the game. That said, I still think 2006 is the worse of two. in 06, while she played just fine (if not better) compared to the other side characters... she only has 3 levels and not even the DLC does her any favors. Team Attack Amigo was 360 exclusive and Very Hard Mode reduces her down to ONE! The worst part though was how they wrote her in story wise. They could've just made an entirely new character as Silver's Companion, and not much would've been lost. Not even her sacrifice is worth squat since the overall arc between her and Silver is undercooked beyond belief, and this left Sonic wide open for Mephiles. Then you put Princess Elise into the equation, who also happens to be a princess struggling with her duties holding latent flame powers that refuses to show any heightened emotions. That's Literally Blaze, but worse. Blaze learns to open herself to others and it's okay to show emotion. Elise was forced to not show them as it would bring the apocalypse, which is stupid and pretentious. The way they handled Blaze in this is only half of the reason why I hate 06's story so damn much.
