really great ride it was there before dolly parton bought the park it was built in 1978 and was part of silver dollar city which is what we now know and love as DOLLYWOOD
Haha this ride terrified me to no end when I was like 4 or 5. Somehow I remember it clearly. Like the fire and everything was just totally nightmarish and terrifying to me. But when I rode it again years later as a 12 year old I laughed. I was expecting it to be scary again. Now I'm almost 26 and I'm laughing even harder. I'll stick with intimidator 305! 😜😜
Dude same! I went with my family when I was around 4 or 5 and i remembered it being WAY more intense when I was younger. Like way faster and more drops and stuff.
my favorite ride there. i would definitely recommend for anyone wanting start riding rollercoasters, although the only scary thing about it is the environment of the ride, (the robots, the old theme, etc) its still an amazing ride.
Dollywood was my go to vacation spot as a kid I loved this ride when I was these videos just so many memories come flooding back to me just standing in line waiting to get on sure do miss good ole pigeon forge Tennessee 🥰💜

I remember when this was my first roller coaster. I went to Dollywood with my family when I was 10 and my cousin (who lived in that town) told me it was just a little kid ride, not a roller coaster at all. I remember being terrified and screaming so loud I lost my voice. My little sis cried the whole time and when we got off every one applauded for her. Good times
I was 10 when I first road this and I cried at every drop! I remember I sat in the front seat and the train coming at you part scared the crap out of me!
I remember riding this with my cousin when we were like 13ish. We saw it had no line and told the family we were gonna go ride the "little kid ride" just for fun. We were the only ones on it, and I swear, it was one of the most terrifying rides we had ever been on! Probably because we were anticipating a baby ride. We were also both fairly small, so when the drops came, we were clinging to each other, trying not to fly out of our seats!
Storytime. I have ridden this a hundred time since I was 5 up until I was 9. Then the next time i went to Dollywood i was 32, taking my 7yo son for the first time.. Twenty three years since I last rode it. My son sitting next to me. And out of nowhere I found myself speaking the lines out loud as we rode past each scene.. "I gotta weak back!" "You look like you've been kissin' that steam train!" "FIRE IN THE HOLE!" ..it was like that guy who has seen a movie a million times and has to quote it the entire time. Twenty three years and it was still like yesterday. And this my friends is why coaster enthusiasts get upset when old boring coasters become defunct. Its not that they were "good". Its because of the feels they get from the nostalgia. Now my son will have that nostalgia for Blazing Fury. Eight years old now and an enthusiast like his daddy. After he gets his rides on Wild Eagle, Tornado and Rod, he always begs for one more ride on Blazing Fury before we leave. Always hits me right in the feels.
I rode "Blazing Fury" before Dolly bought and made Dollywood...when it was Silver Dollar city and rode it once after Dolly bought it. the first time I was in the front seat of the car and IMO that was the best seat to ride in. The 2nd time I was further back and it didn't have the best view of all the interesting things to see. My cousin told me, after the first time, that he never wanted to ride with him again, because I nearly put his ears out when it looked like we were going to hit that train light lol.
The Blazing Fury has been one of my favorite rides at Dollywood since I was little. But maybe I'm biased because it's a ride about firefighters and my dad's a firefighter.
I remember riding this with my mom when I was like 8 or 9 and nobody told me there was a big drop and I was terrified for the rest of the day. I'll never forget that experience
I love this ride and I've been on it so many times. It's meant to be more of a family friendly ride. My sister and I were both 11 years old when we went on it alone

My vivid memory on this ride growing up was to NEVER sit on the left side, cause most of the anamatronics were on that side and i was sooo scared of them LMAO

This looks a lot like Fire in the Hole at Silver Dollar City. That might be because SDC used to own this place. I think Fire in the Hole's Baldknobber theme is more interesting though.
The first time I was on this ride I didn't know about the drops (it was my first time at Dollywood) and the drops were so unexpected I almost died hahaha
Ive rode that like 15 times and I was only 9/10 years old and it's an awesome ride. Next time I go t dollywood first ride I'm asking to ride is blazing fury.
This ride made me cry when I was like four years old. Like it seriously terrified me lol The. I rode it again when I was 12 and uhhhh yeah not so scary lol watching this I can't help but to laugh haha. Still a good ride nonetheless though. Ill always remember it as the ride that traumatized me as a kid! Haha
One time my mom had come with my older sister and my mom dragged her into the right kicking in screaming saying “mommy please no I don’t wanna ride it!!!!”
This ride is almost identical to the Fire In The Hole at Silver Dollar City by Branson MO. But then, the same people own both Dollywood and SDC, so not surprising that some of the rides are the same.
Fire in the Hole still does at Silver Dollar City. The original Fire in the Hole is going to be closing permanently in a few days, but SDC will be opening a new version of Fire in the Hole next year, complete with the splashdown ending.
