A few people have said various things, but the motif for Hana's design is probably Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell. But regardless of that, Hana's design is fantastic. I really like it. I also really like the idea of her body being transparent in her victory pose, making her appear nude. I'd also like to see some type of victory message.
I think only the gameplay look SF inspired, but the sprite art style looks GG inspired, and the design style looks a mix of GG references and general anime references.
Rough with the mechanics shown and the infinites. I don't think I'll be spending 40 dollars on this. Nor have a lot of people, evidently, who have been refunding it.
@@redcrimson1028Neutral. I prefer to be able to move or get an attack in after clenching a round in Tekken for a second, but a 5-20 second super or fatality (even if it is the end of the match) should be skippable to improve the pace of matches.
Having a coatless sprite or animation would go pretty hard, but is probably outside of scope unless it is just a win animation (see Terry Bogard). Also the game does have alternative colours for all characters but dropped the ball on allowing arcade mode and story to use them. Maybe the patch will work it out.
2:41-3:02 Oh no... Hana got corner TODs! The pixel art is nice, and the soundtrack kinda bops. Blazing Strike looks interesting NGL...Wish mirror matches had alternate colors and characters had their own endings though.

Love the "vs Gram", "vs Alexander" and "vs Hana" the most!

I like bouncing pixels as much as the next guy, but Hana's loop in her 'idle' stance is basic, looks like an entirely different image sliding against another image.

This is a finished game ... where a mirror match has both characters use the same palette? Why such an amateur error? Also Hana is clearly the best design in this game but the way she falls/KO just planked on the floor comes off odd in a way, kinda basic/will be changed in finished version style. It still needed more time and polish.
Not on Xbox. The publisher has been avoiding Xbox for years (2015 had BlazBlue Chronophantasma Extend) and certification seems to be a pain perhaps. If it does make you feel better, the game isn't in a very good state now so maybe it will go to Xbox when it is better.
@pieth68 i mean, i could be wrong though, until I play it. I definitely like the art style, but they could've done much more. Also, no ending? no cutscenes? I almost bought the 60 dollar collectors edition. I like those cards they come with.
