I honestly believe cour 2 biggest issue wasn’t time but not having good action animators. Both JJK n One Piece have shitty production schedule but still put out top tier action animation cause they have legit legendary action animators working on it. Cour 2 looked beautiful it just had mid action scenes. Cour 1 atleast had some decent guys but lost a lot of them. Well more time will make Cour 3 look better but if it doesn’t have big name guys it will have similar stiff animation as cour 1 and 2. Mappa and Toei are killing Studio Pierrot rn because they got big name action animators nothing to do with production schedule

@@Hamzethegoat you are right up to some extent. But toei has subsidiary in Phillipines which does significant work at cheap cost and for JJK every animator wants to work on it regardless of bad schedule it seems, pierrot has none of these two unfortunately, so to compensate they need time also. The latest anime from pierrot (Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai) looks really good though.

​​​@@Hamzethegoat but pierrot said the animation will be better at cour2 but it didnt reach the peaks of cour 1 like ep 6 and 7. They just been lying. They didnt even able to finish yhwach v ichibei. They hire more effects animators than action animators which is off. Some talented free lancers dont even want to work on pierrot coz the old ways of animation they doin there.

​@@Hamzethegoat JJK had a lot of of inconsistency and quality issues through the whole season mostly in details (relied a lot on 3d and photobashing techniques, sketch animations), and yes they had very good animators but they also had tons of people working on it and they had more time than bleach cour 2 despite having more episodes to do (release frame time). Not sure if people know this, but a random professional animator given time can produce insanely detailed sakuga frames, yes skills matter but when you are already in the industry you are already in top 1% and are proficient in what you are doing. Also One piece does not have that shitty schedule (they have been delaying more recently and cut corners), they release stuff in batches which can have varying quality as they make the episodes several weeks/months ahead before release and a lot of the animation is questionable given they sacrifice a ton of details (stick figures/blobs) in order to achive fluidity and can sometimes have awkward storyboarding. Not sure if you have seen the staff for TYBW but they do have some really good animators, cour 1 had Yoshihiro kanno (HxH, solo leveling, Sword Art Online: Alicization, The last: Naruto the movie, etc), Satoshi Sakai (this guy have been in almost every show from every season of AoT, JJK s2, Vinland saga, Fire force, Death note, One piece, etc), Jiahe Qiu (JJK, AoT, Mushoku Tensei part 2, Demon slayer Mugen Train movie, etc), Young-Hoon Jeong (Fate/Zero, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, original Bleach on some famous action episodes). Yes we lost Kanno after cour 1 and Jiahe Qiu (Q Kawa) worked on JJK S2 during cour 2 at the time but he could return for cour 3. Whoever instead we got the legendary animator Atsushi Walabayashi for cour 2 (and cour 3), he did very little in this cour other than just direct stuff but whenever he is involved there is always smooth sakuga sequences like some of the Mask fight vs Renji, the only issue is that he just needs to be more involved in the process like in the past. One of the big issue with cour 2 was that it had too many fights going on given how few action animators were around, the amount of chapters that needed to be adapted at the time and also the fact they only had like 6 months or so. Cour 3 is probably going to have fewer fights and more creative freedom for the animators so we might see some huge improvements if they actually go for 2024 october release. They also understand that they have to bring in the big guns now given how competitive 2023 was and going forward, so hopefully we get some insane freelancers for cour 3 and more involvement from the top animators in the staff.

​@@AntiMage99 Yes cour 2 lacked those mega "peaks" but it had more spead sakuga sequences over the whole places, they were limited to having to adapt far more chapters which gave less creative freedom/room to pull out longer sequences with crazy executions. They needed to rearrange a lot of stuff and add new complete new story parts which is more demanding compared to cour 1. No they weren't exactly lying, but Taguchi over-promised as anything could have happened during that time as the upper management wanted the show to aim for summer time release (because its the best time slot). Lets just hope they atleast make up some of it with the Cour 2 blu-ray given they have postpone it to march (maybe to fix up stuff and hopefully add in more scenes/animation), and lets hope cour 3 gets a release date around October 2024 (20 year anime anniversary) which gives them 1 year production time for 13 episodes which is reasonable.

I don't know why people are so obsessed with that form. It's fanservice hit in the face. I wouldn't be surprised if they make it like Mayuri, just pure light and make her move very fast.

Yes, in general the TYBW manga is very short when in it comes to panels in the chapters themselves which means the anime can afford to include more chapters (especially during action scenes), if you have read the manga its not that much left of the original story, so the fact we have 26 episodes left means we could get a lot of new stuff/changes and actually an aftermath to the TYBW story which was lacking in the manga. Lets just hope Wakabayashi gets more involved in cour 3 and Q Kawa returns back for cour 3 since he couldn't join for cour 2 due to JJK s2. If I have to give my prediction cour 3 would probably be annouced its release on October 2024 which is the 20 year anime anniversary of the Bleach anime and gives cour 3 a 1 year production time which is reasonable.

Why? What matters the most for TYBW is of course the in-house staff. Just because we don't get those webgen twitter animators for action doesn't mean the overall quality won't be higher if it's in Summer or Fall, or well, in general too. It's not like they're getting rid of animators for the heck of it, it's all for the betterment of the production.

​@@Anhiksinah we need some action animators which have to be brute force like kanno and if cour 3 staff is talented enough and better than cour 1 staff as well than it is gonna be a banger with animation. Its not like animation is everything but for a battle shounen+ a very popular franchise like bleach we need those type of animation for main fights.

​@@YhwachTheAlmightyas much as I agree with u on cour 2 statement we can't get our expectations set for now that much until we don't get staff info as they changed most staff it might result in either incredible or just good. And one animator also said that the scenes in pv of cour 3 were animated for just that pv means they are just unfinished stuff so the original ep doesn't has to look like that it would look better than that. But we can just wait as kubo is writing poem for cour 3 and we are gonna get a trailer of cour 3 including the poem so, we have to wait till then. It all depend on staff and production time
