Ngl TYBW dub was a pretty big step down compared to og bleach. Og bleach was one of if not the best English dub I’ve heard.

The only recast I'm okay with is Shinji with Aleks Lee but Roger Craig Smith was iconic. You're so right about the change though.

In my honest opinion, I think they did really good with the dub in the Thousand Year Blood War, but in regards to the character As Nodt dub portrayal in the anime, it was for sure a huge disappointment..especially when you compare it to the sub which I know that there shouldn’t be a comparison but it’s hard not too. However, Johnny Yong Bosch who voices Ichigo is just as fantastic as he wants was when he first started out playing the character and in my opinion..seems to have gotten better over the years.

Yeah the Japanese actor made the English actor for as nodt seem like an amature. I had chills when he went into volstandig

@@wintergreen2.073 It's because the English voice actor for Nodt WAS a new guy. This was literally his first professional gig. He did all he can do but compared to the Japanese voice actor who had at least 10 years worth of VA experience, it wasn't going to match (he did have a few good parts). Bleach dub naturally has tons of veterans who's been doing this since the 90's and early 2000's (Richard Espcar the guy who's doing Ywahch since the 80's- dude's a legendad ). Honestly, Todd Haberkorn should have voiced Nodt. He played one of Yoshitsugu Matsuoka role in Re Zero who goes all out the same way Nodt does and unlike the new guy equally matches. This is NOT to say new people can't be great, in fact there was tons of new people for Bleach who does but this new guy was incredibly new and he had to fill such a tough role that I'd imagine would have been tricky but a worthwhile challenge for even vaterans.

I'm about to give you the skinny on the controversy all of it, it isn't the fact that Wendy Lee went on the warpath it's the fact that none of her colleagues were upset when she got replaced but when the black chick got replaced everybody was up in arms. Also Wendy Lee was already voicing two characters in the dub before sexy Kitty lady showed up. I believe it was a virtue signaling and it was something being very cowardly, I think they were lying and she was on the list but then somebody went and then she white and they went oh yeah and gave up the role. Also snaggletooth new voice actress is terrible and the person they got to voice sexy Kitty ladies little brother is terrible as well he's the same person who voiced nah nah nah and pepe and he sounds terrible honestly for the most part the new dub of bleach Thousand-Year blood War mainly uses like six people because they're cheap

Honestly the whole voice actor needs to match the fictional characters skin too is so moronic and agenda driven. It bogs down the industry on those with true talent. Im not implying the recast are without talent, just that this practice needs to be given up.
