This video demonstrates the process of bleaching a T-shirt using a wooden sign from the Dollar Tree. The sign in the video just happens to be for Halloween but you can use the same process for any seasonal wooden sign.

This is a super great idea and they are so impressive for DIY! I'm going to make one of the "Wicked" ones for my sister. Ha, Ha, watch out because the post office may come looking for their "Priority Mail" boxes. :) I think I have some in a closet that I can use for the cardboard insert too! I and my 5 sisters did this 2 weekends ago for Sisters weekend - it was so fun - I also did a cotton orange shirt - that didn't turn out lol did you do just bleach - we did 80 % water & 20% bleach have a nice week

I have tried this 3 times and I have ruined 3 shirts. The bleach is leaking under my wooden cut out and messing up the design.

I am so sorry to hear that. This video was the first time I tried and I noted that you could have some bleed underneath. I'm thinking that we probably don't need to spray as much bleach as we think. The level of surface and how the wood sits on the shirt could also be factors.
