I was bleaching my hair and roots yesterday, and I started to almost rub and lather the bleach into my roots and I kid you not, I heard Brad’s voice in my head screaming that, and I instantly stopped 😂
Just an advice from a trained hairdresser: over all I love the look and the concept of the color you did! And I think you should keep it. However you will have to bleach the dark parts of your hair again. Now for the real advice: as soon as you put bleach on purple hair it is going to turn green immediately! But don‘t get stressed out by this! Leave the bleach on for however long you have to to get your base color lighter. Once you wash it it is going to have a slight minty tint at most but it can be covered by the purple completely (especially if you mix in some pink).
Jellyfish Mars can u answer a question for me lol. I have blonde hair... i dyed it with semi permanent pink dye and now my roots are dark brown a week later... I’m so fuckin confused.
It depends what ur trying to do tho and what brand. Some brands are more liquidy and some are more pasty usually the pasty ones work better for darker hair. :))
The blue/purple neutralized the orangey tone and so it turned like a neutral brown and the color straight deposited on the light blonde parts. The bleach application was blotchy anyways so ita hard to fix it
Yea, the parts that didn’t take weren’t light enough ☹️ they were too dark to hold the color so it basically just toned it. She needs to bleach one more time only on the brown spots
"Why are you filming this no one's going to watch it" do we have the same grandma? But your hair turned out really good, the purple and ash brown combo is dope! I think that the part of your bangs that's purple on the "black side" of your hair is a nice touch too / I personally would keep it purple for the flare instead of dying it black 👌👌 but also congrats on hitting the 1K mark too!
omg girl you are BRAVE! i was literally thinking about dying my jet black virgin hair blonde but am too scared to do it by myself! but damn the purple looks REALLY GOOD?! you're inspiring me to really go out and finally bleach my hair ahaha
All I think when he says that is that’s the point. The bleach will eat through the oil but it will take longer to eat through your hair bonds while it’s busy with the oil.
Thank you youtube algorithm 💙 You are so cute and lovely vibes, the hair looks really good on you! The purple will naturally tone your hair to a cold ashy blond as it will gradually wash out, so that's always nice. If you want the colour to take better next time, I would recommend getting a 20vol or even 10vol developer and going over just the orange-yellow part, it won't be as damaging as higher volumes while also lightening it enough to get the brass out that prevents the dye from properly permeating your hair 🥰 Stay awesome, petal!
"I could've done better but y'know, that's me with everything." I love your humour and I actually love how your hair came out (coming from an almost-beauty school dropout). I'm definitely subscribing.
Omg GIRLL I'm obsessed!! I would not have the balls to do this ahahah, the coconut is such a good idea. The blonde ended up being such a nice, non-brassy colour!
When you’re bleaching it again, you need to go over the darkest parts first, and then maybe the bits that are light last or not at all. Probably you don’t need to do the roots again but start at the back this time since that really purple/light strand by your ear is the one you usually start with and so it gets the most processing time. Also use really small sections! But it still looks good! :)
I mean it’s still cute and honestly with like one more round of purple it’s gonna look even 🤷♀️ and u did a rlly good job bleaching damn. Also WHERE is ur tie dye shirt from???
haha thank you! and I actually bleach dyed the shirt myself in one of my earlier videos!! (honestly super easy if you're thinking of doing it to one of your black shirts)
The reason why it hasn’t lightened perfectly cause your hair was pretty dark, you used white bleach instead of blue bleach, and a tip is to use a high bleach first like 40vol then use a second round of 30, that’s how I got my blonde side when I had black hair, and it was platinum, remember to use purple shampoo to tone the hair too,
To get the best dye job possible, try filling the fair with a blue or pink base (pastel or not) it just helps the purple be the best it can, helps it be true colour and bright, and I think maybe bleach the hair once more cause purple usually tones brassy hair, and the blonde was pretty golden, so it went pastel, just some advice :)
WOWOWOWOW I LOVE IT SO MUCH! I'm literally blown away. 🥰 ..Not sure why there's people questioning it in the comments. To me its muted vibrant and stunning.
You're so cute :3. Normally I don't watch entire hair dying videos, but your music choices, and overall energy was cool. The hair turned out great on you (I wish I could pull it off) 🙏💜
you still pull that off so well so if you go with a much darker purple in a few weeks, it will probably fade to the lighter purple that you’re hoping for. your hair still looks super healthy!
I think your hair looks really beautiful, Dear Sarah @sarah pan! I like the variation of colors and the way you styled your hair at the end of the video, with the curls and your left side tucked behind your ear. Very pretty and great effort. I love it!
if a mistake like ur purple patches happen again use a colour mask, i recommend ice cream kromask, they have a few colours but the ones they have are really good and it won't damage you hair, it is like a colour conditioner. they are very pigmented but GREAT
Hey a pro tip is to use a protien filler for the blonde side to help hold the purple color for longer 😊 (bleached hair is porous so color fades faster) looks great!!
