We did the exact process as you did. Bleach w 20 dev for 40 minutes. Toner T14 whole bottle & 050 1/2 bottle. Added 2 bottles of developer. We left it on 20 minutes. Mostly a silver grey Def no orange or yellow left. Can’t wait to do the regrow the in 6 weeks. Hope it turns out the same! Great instructional video! Thanks.
That's the thing, I use to always experiment with my hair. I did a big chop two yrs ago and have been natural. I have to learn how to properly do color being natural.
+Emmilia Rhodes thank you!! I feel like once in ur life u need to do something drastic to ur hair lol do ur ends a funky color 💕 or a strip of hair not too much commitment lol
Great video! I have a question for ya. But first, a little back story... After shaving my head smooth for about 12 years (Yeah, I'm a guy) because I HATED the blotchy areas of salt and pepper I had, I decided to grow my hair out and make it all silver/white, or as close to it as I can get. A couple things I found out: In the 12 years between ages 42 and 54, I got a LOT grayer on the sides, and unfortunately, a little thin on top, along with some recession of the front hairline. Anyway, I used a Wella Blondor and Koleston Perfect 40 vol. as my bleach/developer (50 minutes) and was REALLY pleased with how it turned out. I used it all over - the really light gray in the front, top and especially the sides didn't change, which is what I had hoped for. The rest, especially the back, which is thick and WAS really dark, turned a really nice, very light/pale shade of yellow, rather than a brassy orange. So I think that part was a success. Now...I have the Wella T14 toner and a 20 vol. developer ready to go for the color. Remembering that I'm a middle aged guy trying to go as close to silver/white as possible, if you were in my shoes, would you stick with just the T14, or buy a bottle of the 050 additive, and mix it in as well? Or maybe make a last minute substitution and get the T18 instead? Thanks in advance.
thank you and HI! ok SO if your hair is now a light shade of yellow i would suggest the T14 for a nice grey IF you add the 050 it will only deepen the color and i don't t h i n k it will match the rest of your salt and pepper hair - i really only use 050 if i want it to be more of a steel or if my hair isn't as pale yellow after bleaching... the T18 will leave you more with white hair- im not exactly sure what the color is of your hair you're trying to match w out seeing it if you'd like - send me a DM on Instagram with a photo of your hair and i can help muchhhhh better !
Ok I'm replying without watching the vid (sorry) but I think you can! Ppl recommend creme because it's a better spreading consistency, which helps make the color consistent.
Do you recommend doing this process on someone who has blond hair with black highlights??? (The salon fist bleached her whole hair and added black highlights at the end.)
Hey hun I'm just watching this and I have Wella t14 toner but the difference is I have the permanent color additive 050 cooling violet can I use these two together to get the same look that you have my hair is already bleached I tried a semi-permanent silver that's already fading 😩 so I have pretty much majority of all the warm tones out I'm not sure if I should go with this since both arent a toner or the other hair color I bought which is silver mist by Sparks if you've heard of it either way Id love your opinion I want your exact results just not too sure how to get it thanks beautifu!
If you add 050 it could BUT once it fades it’s notttt going to look pretty - t14 is best for when you’ve gone past the golden stage and are just yellow
@@KristinaAngelina I'm a medium orange, and I really don't want to bleach it again. I bought a blue shampoo but it won't be here till next week. What would you recommend...
I want to do a light silver on top and a darker silver/grey on the bottom. My hair is going grey and I want to go all grey. The front and most of the top is a white /silver color naturally and I want to go all white/silver on top only. The bottom is more salt and pepper so I just want to go like a titanium or slate grey with a slight blue color to it. I really like the blue grey look. What products do you recommend. I already have Blond Me bleach and developer and Fanola no yellow and no orange shampoo and mask. I also have all the other Fanola shampoo, conditioner and reconstructors that you recommend and use. I went to a salon in January to have it done and I don’t know what she did but it looked awful. So we just did it blue and she said to let my hair rest for a month and we would try again. I went back in February and she bleached my dark roots, my hair is a level 3, to a nice pale yellow and ran the bleach through the rest of my hair to refresh the blond from the bleaching in January. I don’t know if she toned my hair first or just used a demi permanent color. She made all my hair a dark grey. She said she used color by Guy Tang. It looked a little green to me but what do I know. Lol. She also gave me some extra color to take home. I didn’t wash my hair for 4 days and when I did all the grey color came out. I was left with blond hair. I used the extra color she gave me but it just left purple streaks in my hair. So I washed my hair everyday for a week with clarifying shampoo to get the streaks out. So right now I have 3 months of roots which have a lot silver/grey mixed with my dark and the rest of my hair is between a level 7 & 8 like a medium ash blond. Sorry for the long post but I wanted you to get a mental picture. I know I have bleach my roots to a level 9 or 10 and that’s ok, my roots bleach very easy. I need to know what color and type of hair color I should use to get what I want. I also need to know where to part my hair to separate the light from the dark grey. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. By the way the pic in my profile is from 10 years ago. Lol
Heyy!! The best way I can help you is if you send me a picture of your current hair - you can dm me on Instagram @kristina.angelina I’ll do my best to help! 🤍
+Renee Zeiner I keep up w purple shampoo but after maybe3 weeks I'll actually dye it with pravana silver and conditioner and that keeps it silver till I bleach again... I hope you'll subscribe because I'll be making a video very soon on maintenance
Hey from the UK, so as a guy with short ish black hair I have to say this is the most stressful hair colour I’ve ever tried to achieve. To be fair I’ve been using a volume 10 developer and just ran out of my light Ash. Have you ever done it just with the 050 violet for the same grey effect?
Hey!! I have done it a ton of times but I find it to leave my hair on the blue side which I don’t minddd and then fades to a light grey / white - id probably leave it on for a few minutes and check it out all depending how light ur hair is after bleaching super light will get u the blueish effect - yellow or orange can get u a dark grey
Well i have naturally really blonde hair so I skipped bleaching. But after the toner it just made it more pale and kind of flake-ish. It was just a problem on my part
Hello, after weeks of research, your video is the only one that I've found that achieves the color that I'm looking for. However, I have to ask because I didn't understand, what is the ratio of T14 & 050 you're using? I have a very low hair cut all over and trying to avoid wasting product.
Just use a whole bottle of t14 and 25% of the 050 bottle - don’t save the bottle once you open it you shouldn’t use it again later won’t work or make your hair look the same the next time you use the same opened bottle - make sure your hair is as pale as possible your hair shouldn’t shimmer
@@KristinaAngelina thank you so so much for answering. Saw you had a channel after I watched your video only 50 times, then felt like an idiot after I saw all of your follow up videos 🤦🏾♀️. Love your content and subscribed. Thanks again for responding.
Yes, that would worry me too. Your hair looks strong...you probably don't need it. Your hair is a gorgeous color. You make the whole process look so easy! Thank you Kristina! :-) .
Hi Jazmyn! So you left the coconut oil in your hair for 12 hours before processing your hair? And, you still left it in your hair as you were dying/bleaching your hair too? And, your hair turned out great? I will try what you did when I begin my bleach process. I have coconut oil, and all these things to prepare for my hair project.I am really getting excited about doing this! :-) Thank you Jazmyn!
Hey I'm trying to dye my hair for the first time and was wondering if you really need to use purple shampoo after bleaching it or any other shampoo will do. Im trying to go to a similar color as yours. I'm trying to get a smoke grey. Oh and what do you do to maintain the color for a long time. Thank you so much :)
You don’t HAVE to use the purple shampoo when you rinse out the bleach - but it will help to tone down any yellow or brassy tones after you have bleached. Maintaining depends on what you’re using after you’ve bleached... toner ? Dye? Or nothing at all?
I definitely do it before the toner because I want to help in the process of the toner and I have done it after, but now I wouldn't because it'll affect the toner afterwards so just wash with a normal shampoo to make sure you get all the chemicals out and do a good conditioner or deep conditioner.
Use a clarifying shampoo or if you have head and shoulders - that should help tone down the blue grey washing out the pigment - if your roots didn’t take the toner as far as matching the color to the rest of the hair several factors without seeing ur hair - the roots weren’t light enough - you didn’t apply to the roots long enough before dragging out to the rest of the hair - lmk how that works
@@KristinaAngelina well....i took 2oz 20v and 1 oz 050 n did whole head for 20 min. got rid of blotchy blue, darkened to a more even darker blueish with silver highlights kinda. so lolim not hating it but really want light silver, what next? btw my hair is in better shape than when i started...conditioned alot! thanx 4 ur help
t14 was referred to as silver lady and t18 as white lady - 14 will give you more ash and 18 will give you more of a white ice look- 050 is just going to help be an additive if your hair is really yellow or orange it'll give the toner a boost to help combat those tones
I dyed my hair with a permanent grey dye , but my hair was still too yellow. The outcome looks amazing! But I won't more of a grey could I use a toner to cancel out the yellow ?
+Cresen Hunos I wouldn't risk it... toner should really just be used after bleaching.... if you want it to be more grey might I suggest going with pravana silver and if it's really yellow not pale a HINT of pravana violet (literally a smudge) to cancel the yellow and give you more of a grey
Washing with shampoo helps make sure you’re getting all the chemicals out of your hair and not leave any remnants in that can leave your hair more damaged and then deep condition
i tryed this today but with t18 wella and i overtone my hair some parts got some purple spots and i think i have to bleach my roots again cuz i still see brown like urgh i want ur hair ....lml
Hey- for maintenance I definitely recommend purple shampoo - Fanola has been the best for me - their No Yellow Vegan formula - I have a few videos about it here on my channel
Hi! You need to fill the bottle 2 times with developer and the 050 is an additive you don't need to add more developer but personally I'd add another half of the bottle w developer.... hope this helps !
+Andreina Estrada depends on how light ur hair is right now ... if it looks like the inside of a banana peel just use t14 if ur yellow use the 050 w it and if it's orange the toner won't help much
No it’s a toner not a dye so it will last only a wash or two - to keep the grey you can either keep up with purple shampoo or a dye - I have more video grey/ Silver dyes on this channel ♥️
+weirdmanu I should bleach ever 4 weeks .. once a month but I do it every 6 weeks I wait longer then I should ... awww thank you for watching all the way from Italy that's so awesome ♥️♥️♥️🙌🏼🙏🏼
+Noah Morales I washed out the bleach with JUST shampoo and I used the purple shampoo if you wash with conditioner the toner will not work.... so you wash it out w purple shampoo and apply the toner into damp hair and wash that out with purple shampoo and conditioner

This question is hilarious. My hair is shorter than hers. I'm married...to a man. Secondly, there's lesbians with long hair. Your question is irrelevant
