The sound design is making me feel the fizz. That basic, eerie music in the background, the ambient sounds, the sound the bow makes, everything. Gorgeous.
@@TheCivildecay yeah that s why I said Blizzard SHOULD haver done in Diablo. Unfortunately, every Diablo game past D2 seems Just tio flashy and colorful for me. It kills the game IMO. I remember playing D3 with Monk and, at times It Just seemed I was controlling a spinning ball of lightning pumping little explosions around the screen. D3 os waaaay too cheesy. I m afraid that was Blizzard s move to sell more, reach the Kids market
I don't think it did. For some strange reason they seem to have gutted out a lot of the climbing mechanics. I wonder what happened to these early demos, there were some pretty good ideas in there. Of course, there still are some elsewhere, but since these really sold me to the idea, I couldn't help but search for these rooms to no avail.
Yeah me too I can't believe its like just two people they are mad gods. I just hope that they can get it ported when its done because right now all I have is PS4 but I will be getting a PS5 sometime.
@@StallionFernando no doubt in my mind Elden Ring will be fantastic. You know what your getting into with H.M.’s games. Sekiro said it best. “Hesitation Is Defeat”. What gets me excited about this game is a different imaginary prospective. A different type of world and viewpoint. We know the game has souls like characteristics but what game doesn’t. Weapons, artistry, magical abilities if any. I mean it’s going to be so different that the adventure of the complete unknown is half the excitement.
Improvements for the game: It is understandable that the eerie background noise helps the atmosphere to be dreadful, but hearing that for the whole 3 minutes is so excruciating to endure. It reminds me of an amplifier being test out and the sharp ringing sound appears, and we usually fix it immediately afterwards, and this sound is like a lower tone of that. Imagine hearing that high pitch frequency the whole game just makes someone to turn off the background sound just to play, so a minus points for a players experience. The solution for the background sound is to add a lot of variety of dreadful sound and add the high pitch sound to some layer of a background music to make the brain to rest and recieve new dreadful atmosphere. Add more progress on the climbing mechanivs. The texture of the wall is great, and it is fitting for the world you're building in, so use that opportunity to add a rough surface for the player's hand to climb. Overall, this game is making improvements. Keep up the awesome work.
Check out STALKER X16 ost, that soundtrack has simmilar qualities but trust me when i say it really adds to uneasy feeling of being watched and in danger.
I'm of the contrary opinion. I love the dreary drone of the background atmospherics, really makes the whole thing unnerving, which I imagine is the point.
Climbing? 'ight. Imma climb to areas nobody should've climbed to. Love the atmosphere and design. One of the most beautiful games I've seen in the last years. Thumbs up!
I really like the running and sprinting animation, they give the feeling the character has actual weight to it, and that it takes proper force to move at that speed while wearing heavy clothes and weapons.
This looks absolutely incredible. The atmosphere, music, verticality and horror elements fit perfectly. Can't wait for the game to release, it will be an insta-buy for me!!!
So no one gonna mention those unexpected smooth animation going from standing to wall climbing at 2:22 at first you guys gave me the familiar anxiety of standing to close off the edge a la souls-like games and fear of falling down. But damn when the title said climbing showcase it really doesn't lie. Keep up the good works guys!
@@bleakfaith895 wow thanks for replying that fast, from the devs themselves no less! so yeah i'm glad to hear many improvements from the last time i visit this game, take your time, polish it to holys***t, and most importantly stay healthy and don't overstress.
Damn theres been so many improvements back from when i first saw the kickstarter trailer for this. Everything looks so dead and depressing but also alive and dangerous. The whole vibe this game gives off is just everything is bigger than you and can and will kill you given the chance. Its so terrifying and so interesting. Keep up the great work
I’ve rewatched these trailers religiously since I found them a month or so back and have only just noticed at 2:36 the player slips while climbing over the edge as if he lost his grip. If this was intentional it is really amazing attention to detail. It’s clear you guys genuinely care about this project and it shows
Looks better and better every single video I love the atmosphere so much. Incredibly in immersive even in a 3 minute video Really excellent work from passionate hearts
Wow we are truely living a piece of art here, clearly inspired by Nihei's works !! I love it guys, the feeling you got with that soundtrack is giving shivers. On the climb wip, if you want to get closer to reality, maybe you should make the character struggle a little more where there is just a flat wall, and maybe add some "unstable" pieces, fallin' if you stay on it too much time. Meh, just some ideas... Also, at 1:42 I thought the dude was gonna take a rest on that window xD btw, that would be a cool feature, like in case of infiltration or something. Anyway, I love what I see with the progression guys, you're awesome, keep going like that, I can't wait to put my hands on it :D
I love the grittyness of this game, i haven't felt this way since the olden days of gaming. And that's a very good thing! I want grit and I wanna taste it And this "low-fog" happening in the distance sells everything even more just because I can't see clearly and I want to explore!
The architecture remind me a lot from the game Soul Reaver, and the way the hero climbs the wall like Raziel did too. The game is awesome man!!! I hope you release the game soon. I would gladly pay to play this wonder. Keep it going!!!
I love the UI-less UI. And a high fantasy world with great traversal mechanics. Can't wait to find a hidden area outside a tree behind 2 illusory walls, in front of a random chest inside a random tree!
The devs are surely on the right track! The feeling of vertigo and being insignificant while exploring the vastness of megastructures high above the ground absolutely stirring my desire for adventure. I suggest you add more twisted, arcane, uncanny and horrendous factors 👻👻 to make players feel unsettled and terrified much harder, to the extent that they would have nightmares several days. 💀💀 if so, this game will be undoubtedly a successful hit.
@Bleak Faith, you got me good with this one! Not gonna lie: I was pretty skeptical about the game. I really thought it to be another soulless souls-like clone. Though I did like the giant stalking creature and the ruined city from the early trailers this one finally got me. Gimme more colossal dark gloomy buildings with countless doors and pathways to explore and get lost in. All I need is to go up and never hit the roof.
I finished the game this week, and after a rough launch a year ago i decided to give a new chance with the great support, patches and updates. So i need to say that this game is an absolute gem now, i had so much fun and whoa moments more than i could count, so congrats for not abandoning your game, it's truly amazing now. The only thing i miss was this levels from WIP videos, they was the content that made me interested in this game in first place. Did you pretend to bring this on a future? maybe a DLC?
This looks incredible well beyond anything I could ever make, are you using UE? I'd recommend making the displacement on the walls a bit more extreme so it looks like the character has something he's actually holding onto (little damages in the wall or protruding bricks) just cause at the moment it looks a little strange like he's just sticking to the wall. Anyway looks incredible great work will be buying it if not just to support you talented people ❤
