A couple of guys were mouthing of in the comment section on an Elden Ring video (why they see game development as competition and an opportunity for oneupmanship instead of just being happy that two great games are on the horizon is beyond me) saying that Bleak Faith will look nothing like what we are seeing here at release. That the technical limitations will mean that we can expect a massive downgrade in terms of graphics and character animations. Is that true?
@@Imperiusism I really hope they do. I've seen a lot of trash get supported on Kickstarter so something like this should be a shoe-in. Fingers still crossed...
@@Imperiusism That's really depressing. Such a shame. I thought they would smash it in. I even did a video on my channel for it (I normally don't do that for Kickstarter games) to help. I'm still going to hope, but man, so much crap gets funded yet this is struggling? I don't get it.
@@fuzzybearbarian 12% missing, they can still pull this off! I've seen them responding to a random member saying not to worry, that the campaign shall be successful and that they have contingency plan in case it doesn't. So, all in all, it's gonna be fine. This is my most expected 2020 title, right after Cyberpunk and Elden Ring.
Hey I know you’ve reached your goal on Kickstarter but can I still pledge? I would do anything I could in my power to make sure this game ends up coming to fruition and solidify the potential of me playing it one day on a god damn super computer.
How do two people conceive of such a world? Truly you must be geniuses. The surrealist, epoch-defying landscapes and character models, complimented by a quite brilliant score have left me breathless. I've not felt like this about a video game before. And this one isn't even out!
the game is on track to be a success if you strive for details and history, sudden camera movements make me dizzy, I would like the characters to emit creepy sounds when they are close, when you hit them and when they die, to give you a darker atmosphere, I would like to see gore, enemies that intimidate to give the game a more sinister atmosphere, I advise unique and different sound effects that make the game your hallmark! God Job Guys!
This game is awesome. The people responsible of the level design are cyborgs. I haven't seen such a glorious representation of the Omnistructure since NaissanceE.
Hey.. so I'm hyped for you guys to actually finish this but I can't help myself to not give some feedback on this. The world itself looks nice and breathtaking but (as far as this video is concerned) a lot of the places that you actually walk to and are very close to you seem... empty. Like yea, there's a nice background thingy and cool lightning but all around you the picture looks like a blank canvas. You're walking on a big empty platform towards something cool. May I suggest adding a lot more details to the smaller parts of the environment?
@@bleakfaith895 I'm sure you do your best guys ❤️ I'm an dev myself and I really wish you a lot of success :D so I'm helping with feedback wherever I can. You do a nice job, keep it up!
This work load looks immense. Optimizations alone never mind localization for a project of this scope. How on Earth are you guys gonna pull it off without a larger team and funding? I'd really try reaching out to publishers for funding. I think you have something really special here, but it looks like your pursuit of art might be crushed under the weight of your ambition. I'd hate for this game to be caught up in any exclusivity agreements, but I'd hate more for it not to live up to what I imagine you guys know it could. What I mean to say is this is brilliant and I wish you all the best.
Kai Nagakami developer mentioned they recorded this on some low-end rig. It’s been suggested to send the snapshot over to someone with a better setup to record, but for now they are working with what they have. Obviously the campaign funds would help them build a better computer for recording.
@@bleakfaith895 I've been thinking (which is a dangerous habit of mine). If the kickstarter doesn't work out, I'd be happy to donate some time to the project. I have five years of professional experience as a programmer, but if nothing else I'd be happy to help out in a volunteer QA capacity.
@@bleakfaith895 I never should have doubted you. As the prophecy foretold, we've reached the goal! And with 11 hours to spare (at the time I'm checking, of course
I will say what I dislike about Dark Souls(still, great game) to see if you can make something: New Game + gets boring because you have to do THE SAME with THE SAME WORLD AND ENEMIES. So how about some random generated world, multiple alternative paths with history paths, more and new enemies, items and equipment on NG+(2, or 3), new locations for objects. That way NG+ could have a big replay value.
