Bleeding Heart (Dicentra spectabilis)
Grow under trees, bushes or in the shade.
They bloom in mid-to-late spring to early summer, late and early may.
Bleeding Heart is a herbaceous perennial, hardy in zones 2-8.
They will eventually grow into a 3 to 3.5 foot round mound.
Like most plants bleeding heart prefers humus-rich, moist, well-draining soil with
lots of organic matter.
You can divide Bleeding Heart in the early spring.
