I'm super excited to share my next texturing tutorial which is coming out soon, here's a hint: Howl's Moving Castle. :O!! If you want to master stylized and anime-style texturing in Substance Painter, Join my course here: bit.ly/31QPGlq
The title of the video is misleading as I was unable to learn how to produce the plants and shape. Title should be changed to "Watch me put together pre-made models" LOL
A better title would be "general strategies to creating low-poly plants in Blender" because it's not really an actual tutorial in which you show step-by-step how to model various plants, and there's nothing specifically low poly here either. This is useful if you can already model simple shapes, but have no idea about different methods to make them into certain shapes of plants. But beginners looking to model a plant will be stumped. That's why you got so many complaints in the comments when this is actually quite useful -- I knew about the first two methods, but not the particles (though I could have used a bit more information there, like show me the setup and parameters). Anyway, now that I know this is how it's done in principle, I can figure it out. Thanks!
I can't get my particles to eminate from the center like that. I created a cylinder with one face. All leaves face same direction so it looks like they are getting blown over
Raise the middle part of the face so it forms a shallow half-sphere. Select "Normal" for the Orientation axis. That should make the hairs form a circle facing the mid-point instead of going in the same direction.
