Hi, My name is YJ. I am a South Korean. I am not good at english. So I use Google Translator to write down my reply. I installed the blender a week ago. Today, I first searched for a blender tutorial on RU-vid. I wanted a Korean tutorial But I want more optipns. It's hard to see the English tutorial, but I do not regret watching this video. It's Easy and Fun. blender is blowing my mind. It's amazing program. I let my first step walk this tutorial. Do I act like newbie too? Anyway, thank you. And I subscribed.
I haven't used Blender since 2012 or so. I've been using it since 2006 and it's a completely different beast. I'm trying to get back into it, and I appreciate this video.
That is not amazing? Are u kidding me, that is one of the best simulations i have ever saw. It even inspired me to work and experiment in blender. That usually doesnt happen lot after tutorials. Very good 🤩🥰
There are (as always) some excellent tutorials on RU-vid.... Most have been on previous versions of Blender so the references to menu items, caused no end of hair-pulling when trying to see how they map to the latest version.... Your tutorial is simply excellent... so much explained in concise, clear terms and I only heard one "my bad" :-) Thank you for posting this... Great stuff...
Bloody smart tutorial. I too have been looking for this Exact video..Well done mate! Created a TORNADO but my particles would not light up. Now they will...sweet
You came out of nowhere and you took me to a karate class man. You are fast but absolutely easy to follow, you pill off the difficult and intricate to lay it out in rapid but again, in crystal clear fashion. Phock! I learned a bunch of stuffs man. I will share one day what your tutorial allowed me to do. Peace and thank you!
@@dcpwebdesigners Thank you man! And yes, I left a review, cause you are worthy of praise. Thanks for the other tutorials, I'm gonna feast. Stay safe. Peace!
thanks this really helped me I'm making a sort of laser gun and trying to teach myself blender I've watched this twice now since I keep forgetting how to do stuff
Excellent tutorial so far. Very clear and you are making a difficult topic, Blender particle systems, look easy. It's fun working along with your tutorial. Thanks. Much thanks.
Very good tutorial. I have an idea all emitted particles form a shape like a human body eventually. Would you please give a tutorial on such. Thank you.
Well worth the time to watch. Thanks. How about a spiral galaxy tutorial? It looks like you are close to that @ 22:00 to 22:15 with the vortex and wind. Being a newbie, I guess maybe duplicating the emitter collection several times for spiral arms and slowing down the speed a lot to have the arms float gently?
Nice video...what computer are you.using?? Cores/ram/video card?? Yours runs so smooth....I have 6 core AMD with 8gb ram and Radeon vid car with ddr5 2gb and runs slow as crap playing animation.... I have to do it by hand but then its choppy slow lol
@@dcpwebdesigners I just upped my ram to 16gb..... so its gotta be the video card... but everything I read said my card should work good.... i did one of your tutorials and i was only getting 1 frames a second during animation play....and rendering a 9 second logo took 6 hours.... 1-2 minutes to render 1 frame...... Like I said I read everything and they all say AMD cards are supposed to work now more so then before.... obviously it's not the case at all..... I mean I can deal the long rendering but the animation (even when doing manually sliding) is very very frustrating..... and almost impossible to really see what's going on...especially when tweaking....
Yeah I use a gtx1050 6gb and works well, blender is still in development and I think the blender developers will first write code to support most popular graphic cards. You should try to download blender 2.7 which is older version but you can test your card on that version, if working then should get support for 2.8 at some point, remember to download blender 2.8 each week to see if updates have fixed your issue, also do a Google search for your card using blender and check forums for a fix 😅
@@dcpwebdesigners lol... I have done alot of googling lmao... I had 2.79 for a few days...but then couldn't find tutorials on that (not good ones like yours lol)...... I'm looking Into getting a nvidia 4gb card like yours but 4gb..... from what I read the newest version of blender supports cards better then the older.... but I hear you with the development thing too.....they should redo their minimum requirements lol
for later viewers: 15:15 do not delete the material slot on the second and third objects. instead click the copy material button next to the field where you select which material should appear in that slot. by copying like this, it is easier to keep all the previous work setting the emission parameters while still being able to change the color of the particle. Not such a big deal when you're just setting a single parameter like emission but that habit is good to train. especially because blender is so uptight about not being able to delete unused materials. basically this process duplicates the material assigned to the current slot, with the same name convention you explained occurs when you duplicate an object (original is object, second is object.001, except here its material, material.001, material.002 etc)
I am making a dandelion with full seed by using particle system ( seed is the dupli object and the round seed head is the emitter). I also want to apply wind to achieve an effect of seed detaching from round seed head and blow with the wind. However, the animation start with seed “grow” from the round seed head which is very odd. Is there any method all seed fix on the round seed head in the beginning and then emit? If yes, can you provide a tutorial? Thank you.
Is there a way to make the particle effect loop? So for example, if the animation of the particles is 5 seconds long, instead of having an abrupt end and repeat of it when the 5 seconds is over, could is loop so it's a seamless animation even if it loops to the beginning? Thanks! Great tutorial! I tried to do it myself and accomplished nothing, watched this, and was able to do exactly what I wanted! (Minus the looping thing, haha)
@@dcpwebdesigners Cool! Looking forward to it! Another thing I'm realizing as I'm trying to throw my work into Unity, the giant balls used to make the particle effects are still there obviously. Hiding them doesn't hide them with the asset gets thrown into another app. Is there a way to make them objects/collections usable to make particles, but that they don't actually exist in the space? Like you just threw yours way up high, but is there a way to actually get rid of them, but still have them be usable for the effect?
@@cosmology2773 Not sure how it's exactly accomplished in Blender, but if you want to create perfect loops, look up Coding Train "Making a GIF Loop in Processing" or read Etienne Jacob's "How to make a basic perfectly looping GIF" on tumblr. Hopefully you can transfer the ideas from there into your blender workflow.
DCP, like for a lesson, you are always at your best, I wanted to know if you are planning to release modeling lessons in the future, combining with animation, for example modeling watering can and a flower, and how watering can pour water on a flower !?)
U did so great on this tutorial, thank you so much! I am really curios which computer you are using to render? Keep going the great work! Would love to hear from you.
Is it possible to make the particles only happen on a body but not a head? So you can have an animated character but only part has the particle effect.
I am looking for a way to have a fixed amount of two types of particles, moving and rearranging themselves on the cube/any mesh (for example driven by attraction to itself). Any suggestions on how to do this? please help..
I have not done what you are requesting before so I can only guess based on the example tutorials above, I guess you could also use a magnet force field to attract particles to an object
The sad thing about most 3D animation tutorial channels is that they do not get nearly as much attention as others made specifically for entertainment. This is mainly because anyone can watch and follow an SMG4 video and is meant for mostly anyone while Blender tutorials are primarily meant for users of blender, a much smaller community due to the complex nature of 3D animation.
@@dcpwebdesigners teacher of teachers already subscribed me and we hope More videos, I am from Mexico City and here you have your home when you want to visit us with honor we receive you, many greetings
what do i do if my object particles dont render even without them hidden, being based off an object and having them checked to renderas well as checked that the objects are visible to the camera. plz help im using cycles to try and render if that helps
great tutorial, only thing I cant understand is why my particles doesnt render if I press f12 when I tell the particles to render the "Particles" collection. all my particles objects are inside
@@dcpwebdesigners Did exactly that, still nothing... It works if I choose to render an object everything works but as soon as I ask it to render my collection they doesnt render, redid all the steps still nothing... might be a 2.81 bug
@@dcpwebdesigners Fixed it my bad my individual particle objects' render setting was turned off because the particles still worked when using individual objects as particles but apparently it doesnt with collections so I had to turn them back on lol anyway good tutorial ;)
Can you help? For whatever reason, my particle setting appears 3 times in the rendering animation, however, the last 5 never appear. I tried setting the particle setting to have the same option as the first 3 but they still never appear.
I have seen a video on Instagram, in wich the particles flew to a empty. When he moved the empty, the particles flew into another direction. It was like the empty was a magnet. How can I do that ? (For weapons or something)
Thanks for your video, I really liked the moment you said you were pretty cool, I confirm what you said in this video that you are really super cool !!!!😉
@@dcpwebdesigners My particles following path. I changed all settings. Gravity is 0. No changes, still crazy speed. I asked on Blenderartists. No body know. Something strange. In 2.7 everything worked perfectly.
ram is higher than mine but it works pretty well. Just 4GB and with little to no huge drops in the apps fps sooo... it seems like a really good choice for 3d designing. Thanks, by the way.
@DCP Web Designers You make really good and educational videos. Can you please make some videos for Blender 2.18 on Space Nebula? I myself am just starting anew in Blender 2.18. I have worked with an ancient 3D program (Imagine 3D) from the Amiga scene so far. And Blender 2.18 has totally convinced me of its internal structure. Since there are no manuals on the market for the new blender concept in German, such videos ... like those of you ... a changeover like me really get started. As I said ... me and certainly many other users would be very happy if there were some tutorials on space nebula and volumetrics. As a precaution I subscribed to a channel ... and of course I gave a thumbs up :-))
@@dcpwebdesigners Thank you, thank you ... your channel is a treasure trove! :)) .... so that you understand what I meant with Space Nebula ... so I would like to do something like the "pillars of creation" so much like that. But I do not mean 2D brushes but structured volumetrics;)) With Imagine3D, I've been experimenting with volumetrics around it for a long time ... but the program is just too old, so you can not get it done. It's enough if you get to know the basics to stimulate your own creativity :))
@@dcpwebdesigners yes ... now I will probably spend the whole weekend and also next and over the weekend on your channel : D : D ... Thanks for the really great learning videos!
@@dcpwebdesigners It was just a joke in reference to your accent :) because when you said threshold the "th" sounds like f, and the word "fresh-hold" kept making me think of a fridge for some reason. Anyway, Thank you for the tutorial ! it's very well put forward and useful info, no time-wasting or explaining things that don't need explaining like some other tutorials i've seen. I've been meaning to learn more about particles and some of the modifiers like smoke and cloth
