This is late but if anyone can not see the "final" button. Choose the "all" button. Its the same thing just name changes due to the newer update. uncheck boxes under the "type" box. Then just bake! 5:34

Thank you for your video, it is very interesting. I have a training channel and blender helps me so that my students understand certain welding concepts. But I only use blender to help, I'm far from an expert. Currently I need to learn how to make a simulation of glowing metal (a weld), which becomes solid metal, changing the shape and color of a circular section to a roughly pear-shaped section. Bit late for this but you can animate gravity. Go down to the field weight settings in the domain, change the influence of gravity (or any of the forces, can also be negative), hover over the value box and press I (letter). Might be version dependant but just tried it on 2.93 and it's fine.

For some reason, my water "explodes" instead of falling to the ground??? At frame 120... the flow restarts back... it must be a bug or something. The flow is off yet the water comes out of the emitter. Blender 2.9... i fixed it... it worked in real time but when I baked it it exploded again. wtf

hello sir! I tried your tutorial using v. 2.91 but when I free all it then bake all, the output is not circle, it molds in square shape. how come mine is different 🥲

I'm in 2.9. when I try to play the animation, the water flows out, and fills the domain instead of grouping into a sphere. Why is this?

I know this is an older tutorial, but I just stumbled across it... what do you mean you have to animate the time scale because you cannot set keyframes to gravity? Aside from newer versions where this is possible, in 2.83.3 which you are using here you could animate gravity as well. If you turn off gravity in the scene properties, you can set gravity according to your liking in the liquid domain and keyframe it. Nevermind, no big criticism here, I really like how you animate the fluid. I was just fighting with gravity in fluid simulations a while back and tried a lot... so I came across this scene gravity versus domain gravity. Only the behaviour was a bit odd, the domain gravity worked like the scene gravity if you set Z = -9.81 m/s² - until you keyframed the value. Then it was actually almost 10 times too fast. It was a bug, where the domain gravity seemed to "normalize" gravity with 9.81 m/s² being 100% or 1. So to get -9.81 m/s² you had to enter the value -1 which wasn't very obvious, since the field showed the m/s² as unit. Later in 2.83.4 then you could keyframe the gravity field weight, but it had no effect, no matter if you used scene or domain gravity. Also the bug remained that a keyframed gravity was much too fast - although already reported in 2.82 and marked as "fixed". This still is true for 2.83 LTS versions. The change came with 2.90, now you could keyframe scene gravity, domain gravity and even the gravity field weight worked now and everything still does up to latest versions. However since that the simulations appear to have slowed down. But I don't know how accurate they are anyway... in 2.83, blob of water roughly fell down 10 m in about 0.5 s, which should have taken 1 s. In 2.90 and later the water needs around 1.4 s for that distance. Anyway, enough of the excursion - seems I had too much time to spent :D

I cannot follow this in the latest version of blender. There is no "final' under cache. You can only do Modular. If use Modular, then bake, my rendered result shows a solid box of the domain.

Weird. About to render the animation to make an mpg, but I see my fluid domain is full of water for frames 1,2,3,4. The expected ball of water at the start of the path for frame 5. Why is that?

guys please help i want to pour fluid into glass and also drop a mesh in it. this is the concept of the animation but there is no tutorial of this on the web i tried 1000 times but fluid flows out of glass dont think that i didnt make glass a effector or domain. i am fail kindly if someone can help please let me know in the reply thanks.

I think you used the wrong IOR for the water

Blender's water animation looks so bad, it looks like glue. When I saw how bad it looked in pretty much every render, I wanted nothing to do with it so I bought flip fluids.
