I just love a task like this. I know I’m a bit late but you are by far the best hand lettering RU-vidr I’ve seen. So much better when you actually show the pen used doing a piece rather than just a review. Love this. Wish I could give it more thumbs ups 👍🏻

It is pretty self explanatory. You add the grey shadow lines in the same spot where she put them. There is no secret method that makes it easier. Some people are just more talented at lettering or art. You can keep practicing & you will get better. There are endless tutorials online for shadowing, & every type of lettering.

Shannon Landry, sorry but it’s not that simple for everybody and we all have different learning styles and communication preferences. Take me for example; your above instructional was completely Greek to me...I’ve also watched countless videos & printed dozens of worksheets, but proper placement and consistency remain elusive. However, I can learn more from ONE of this channel’s videos than I would watching other RU-vidrs all day long. Congratulations on this all being so intuitive to you though!

Ah-mazing! (As usual!) This is so fun! I love re-watching your tutorials and actually knowing what to do now after having taken your courses! I have to say, I have a love/hate relationship with the coloured Fudenosuke, I prefer the Pentel, but perhaps I should revisit my Fudes and practice!

Just discovered your channel. That looks amazing. Your work is beautiful! I am new to hand lettering so this is a little advance for me. This has to be the best tutorial I've found that explains how to choose colors, put them together and add a shadow. I struggle with just trying to pick colors that blend well together. I can't wait to try just putting the two colors together. I will have to gradually work my way up to being able to do the shadows. 😂

Thanks Cassiee! Right now, I think the Tombow Fude Colors are only available on Tombow's website because they are so new, but maybe soon they will start being sold on amazon as well.

You can get them on jetpens.com for a cheaper price than Tombow offers, the website also has a variety of items, and they delivered my package in only 3 business days.

Try the Amazon seller Lupi Lupi...I paid $14.88 versus the $26.99 that they're being listed for and the only difference is the packaging. And they are the REAL TOMBOWS...just Japanese fonts on the package!
