An all-star collective of Ubud's best folk and traditional musicians perform an original piece they created in 2016. The band blend the traditional and modern to create a unique sound honoring Indonesia's incredible heritage.
The group came together during a workshop led by legendary Indonesian musician and social activist, Sawung Jabo, who mentored them in a 5 day workshop in 2016. In 2016, a group of talented musicians and dancers gathered for a couple of days and birthed this collective ‘supergroup’. Prana is a collaboration of many music and dance talents coming from the creative community located in Ubud. Prana’s original works are created by maintaining unique voices of musicians and original movement from the dancers. They live recorded their first album in 2017.
