ABOUT THE SONG COMPOSITION
"Rayo Azul means Blue Lightning. The song is about making choices
about ourselves. In each of us there is white and black, through influences and history balancing to one side or the other.
The music was first created with the work title ‘Celebrations’, while arranging the idea came up to celebrate something.
During my flight to Barcelona, where I would invite Clarance to sing ‘Alla day son o de’, the lyrics came suddenly all at once. The idea of ‘Blue Lightning’ came up and at that moment I understood, that while composing, I was celebrating this blue lightning.
Back home, along with a good friend, I translated the English lyrics into Spanish and ‘Rayo Azul’ was born.
When the instrumental version was finished, I constantly heard a chorus of high soprano (Coloratura) and ethnic Mongolian voices.
It took a year of searching for the right singers, until we ended up with Lisa Mostin and Dietwin Elbers.
Both singers were immediately motivated to step out of their comfort zone and do this project.
Dietwin took the first layers and after a week Lisa finished the song in a synergistic way. I am so grateful to them for this great work, it was a completely different direction and a challenge for them to work on this project.
This song is a kind of cinematic dance, which brings a synergy of different styles.
One month later, together with a young film talent Arash Malek, we make the video in Belgium.
He understood the story of the music and filmed this clip cinematographically.
‘Rayo Azul’ is a totally different song from ‘Alla day son o de’. This is BleRòs’ philosophy to send positive vibes into the world, all the time in different ways.

Lisa Mostin
Young coloratura soprano Lisa Mostin is one of Belgium’s rising talents who has a keen interest in Mozart, Strauss, the virtuosic French and Belcanto repertoire.
She has been invited by world class opera houses in some of the most demanding roles of the opera repertoire.
She sang the Queen of the Night at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Dutch National Opera, The Royal Opera of Versailles, Opera of Avignon and Olympia at the Staatsoper Stuttgart.
If Covid-19 allows it, she will make her South American debut in the spring of 2021 in Santiago de Chile.
She studied at the conservatory of Maastricht with Axel Everaert and completed her Masters in Firenze with Margherita Rinaldi.
She’s been coached by Barbara Bonney, Ileana Cotrubas, Cecilia Gasdia, Sylvia Geszty, Bonaldo Giaiotti, Sumi Jo, Tom Krause, June Anderson and Nelly Miricioiù.
She is a finalist of the Clermont-Ferrand Singing Competition and the Maastricht Rotary Award.
Dietwin Elbers
Dietwin Elbers is a musician and from Antwerp. As a multi-disciplined vocalist, guitarist and composer, he is known to be active in very different projects ranging from rock/metal to indy/pop/world to electronical and classical music.
Born in brussels into an artsitic family: his father is a writer and musician that recorded 6 LP's under Phillips in the 70's and 80's, while his sister is a baroque soprano that studied at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität in Vienna. Dietwin enjoyed singing from a young age and wanted to play the guitar like his father but when he went to music school his parents decided he was to play the clarinet, not sing or play guitar. He hated the instrument yet this did not kill his passion for music.
As a young adult Dietwin spent some time as the lead vocalist of Necrotic Metalband "Herfst" where his range and multitude of vocal styles quickly became noted. He has contributed guest vocals to many recordings in many genres: rap, throat singing, opera, rock... In 2020 the melodic metalband InHuman, which as a male and female lead, revealed Dietwin as their new male vocalist.
