Yeah, they changed the word word in the song and it has less of an impact. It's probably one of the most beautiful songs. Got to protect our politically correct ears and change somebody's art
I was thinking the same thing. Cause that one word really drives the point home as to how racist her Dad is and how big a downfall that is in terms of dating her.
This is definitely the edited version to be politically correct there’s nothing wrong with it but the original version makes more sense. Lisa lives in fear because she find out she’s in love with a Nager from the street. That’s what it says in the original version.
