When you're pushed for time and your family are about to descend upon you, thank goodness for the wee hills of this world! A quick, early morning jaunt up Birnam Hill near Dunkeld, to take in the lovely forest views and assess the snow for a bigger walk the next day.
PS - the camera had a little trouble with exposure towards the end so apologies for the spooky darkness ;-)

Nice one Ben - I was up there a few weeks ago in the snow and it was grand - was just a quick up and down though . A great hill :) 👍

There's definitely scope for a longer day up there, looking at the summits to the south and west.

I love Perthshire too and somehow always manage to stay in Crieff when I'm wandering through Scotland... Been a few years now since I was there but I'm hankering to get back. In the meantime, these videos are my vicarious hikes...

Can see my house from there...almost :) I use birnam regularly for short training runs. Had a wander up in the snow a couple of weeks ago and had a near whiteout!

Nice gem hidden at the doorstep. Wow I never saw so many trees as up there in Scotland. . Benvironment there are these things called 'tags'.. it's a list of questions going from one you tuber to the next. Its a 'trendy' way of connecting and getting to know more like minded vloggers. That's how I understand it. Soo.. I got tagged by a nice fellow hammock wildcamper called maff-t uk. I thought of passing it on to you. The vid has been already made, not uploaded yet. I could easily cut it out. It's ten questions about hiking. Don't feel pressured.. it's not important.. cheers! Have a good evening..
