It was possible when this was probably recorded, but not after the Senior Bowl measurments showing he is a full ass 2 inches shorter than USC had him listed.
@@timmarsh973 yeah not gonna lie it is kinda annoying and I’m very interested how some of these guys measure on the combine ( like troy franklin, xavier worthy, jezran newton etc. )
@@rileyblack7160completely agree. Like fines, or sanctions. It doesn't actually help their players in the long run, it just makes them look bad around this time of year.
As a diehard bears fan this has been by far the most exhausting offseason I hav every been through I can’t wait till it’s done and u know who I can cheer for
Honestly, next year might be a good year for linebacker. Jay Higgins from Iowa could easily project as a first round guy, and the linebacker next to him is also really good. I think some teams might just punt on inside linebacker until next year
WR taken in the first round of the 2004 draft: Larry Fitzgerald, Roy Williams, Reggie Williams, Lee Evans, Michael Clayton, Michael Jenkins and Rashaun Woods. Later rounds saw WRs like Devery Henderson, Bernard Berrian, Jerricho Cotchery and Patrick Crayton. Wes Welker and Malcom Floyd went undrafted.
Combine timeeeee!!!! My favorite time of the year. FA right around the corner, scouting all the new guys coming in, every team is 0-0 with so much hope and new dynasties are merely weeks away from having a chance to being built. Can I get a fuckkkkkk yeah… fuckkkkkkkkk yeah baby 😂😂 Early early scouting note.. Caleb Williams doesn’t have elite anticipation… he is a see it and then I’ll have the arm strength to make it there. Again only very early scouting note but his arm talent and “it factor” that they said Bryce had is maybe already enough to be number 1 pick. But if dude can’t anticipate throws and windows he won’t be as successful as people think.
Look out for AJ Barner at the NFL combine. He's not going to draft very high because he's primarily a blocking TE, but he's going to make some eyes pop. I could easily see him being a Charger next year as a day 3 pick if Harbaugh gets what he wants. He's closer to a FB type.
Let me start by saying that I know this isn't going to happen but I would love to see Fields, the number 9, and number 123 picks to New England for the number 3 pick
Giants also have two 2nds, so that certainly makes it possible. I haven't really given Fields much thought (because I think Schoen and Daboll would prefer to restart the clock on the 5th year option), but I could see it. I think I'd still be surprised, though. And I'm a guy who never wanted Jones and I still hate Gettleman for drafting him at least a round early.
brett deadass hates troy franklin 🤣🤣 brah hasn’t said a positive thing about him and dude was a biletnikof semi finalist you’d think he played at umass
As a Chargers fan, I don't get why people want a WR. We have so many more issues. Brett saying OL/CB makes a ton of sense. IDK what the overall DL class looks like, but I'd be happy if they nabbed a pass rush, or traded down for a DT. Our DL has been a nightmare for a couple years, and we're most likely losing one of Mack/Bosa on top of that. I get why Brett says OL, but I think DL/CB makes more sense personally. Fans that want a WR are dumb.
2:38 "dove" would be correct, but the strong verb form is slowly being replaced by "dived" so it's not entirely wrong either. Do your part and keep it alive or me and my grammar homies WILL slander this channel
@Bootleg Football I'll buy the next two bottles of Malört if you guys can carve out 30 minutes for an impromptu 'observations' chat with the NFLSE hosts this weekend. 🍻
Love the work gents. But there is 0 shot the Jaguars draft an off-ball linebacker in the first 3 rounds. There should not be a chance that they draft one before the 6th or 7th, but Baalke will Baalke. Jacksonville spent a first rounder on Devin Lloyd (incidentally, PFFs most improved player on the team), a massive FA contract on Foye Oluokun, a 3rd rounder on Chad Muma, and a 4th rounder on Ventrell Miller, all in the last 2 years. I am a fan of Cooper's but he won't be wearing teal in 2024.
I see Nabers as being the right match for Herbert's deep throws. Bowers is better for the Giants or Pats who don't have QBs who are deep threats. If the Bears were smarter they could trade with one of those teams, get one of the great receivers & a lot, lot more. But they made up their minds since Poles & Eberflus took control of this team. Justin Fields was so desperate he actually said "I don't know what my coaches expect of me." He said that publicly. That's a cry for help. Can you imagine Justin _Herbert_ saying that? 'Flus has made it clear that He Decides what plays to limit the offense to, so all the calling of plays known to fail while cancelling ones that worked like the designed QB rushes are his & intentional. They could get exactly what they need to win with Fields, use their #9 pick for the C they *desperately need,* have a top-2 WR duo & a top-half defense at least. Nope. Not unless some team's stupid GM gives them too much for Fields in a trade. How stupid is that?
Quentin Johnston and Adonai Mitchell being labeled as body catchers (By Steve Smith) and QJ having a bad rookie season gives me concern AD might be another bust.
I think Keon Coleman goes in the 1st just because hes tall as shit, hes fast as shit, and hes got insane hands and catch radius. Does he have separation issues? Yeah, but honestly look at that dude.
A single second round pick is REALLY low for Fields. I would easily take Fields over a bunch of the guys projected to go at the end of the first, it’s not close. Hell I’d take him over the guys projected at the top of the first. If they can only get a 2nd for Fields, they’d be insane to trade him.
Yes trade away fields once you can get a new quarterback. Then fire your head coach at the end of next year because he is bad. Then realize you did this with your past 2 quarterbacks.
I do not understand why people keep saying Fields to New England. We have too many needs on offense to be using a (potential) day 2 pick on a QB who hasn’t been good and will need to be extended in a year or two. Btw, I don’t think Fields should go for a 2nd rounder and if that happens… I mean jeez he has not shown anything
21:51 There won't be a deal for Fields. Think about why you want to trade him. He's bad. He's been bad since the Browns game when he took 9 sacks and hasn't gotten materially better since. He has one 300-yard game in his entire career, which came against the Broncos this year, where he threw a game losing interception. If he doesn't see an obviously open receiver, he'll hold on until he either sees a running lane or the defense gets home. This was his first time not being bottom 10 in throw aways, so at least he kinda gets how to diagnose pressure now. He's a cut candidate or a day 3 pick.
One of my nightmare scenarios for the draft as a NFC fan is that Chop Robinson goes to Dallas to take part in "Mike Zimmer's School for Developmental Pass Rushers" and becomes another Danielle Hunter.
