Children who are blind from a very young age often show autistic traits. Social skills are harder to develop without vision, and many blind kids also stim because they get less sensory stimulation naturally. You can see some of the kids rocking or swaying at times in the video.

Not all kids who are blind have autism. Some do . However if the child is adopted there is,a higher chance that they might have autism . It's called institutional Autism. I have enough friend who have no usable vision also having blindness stunning that they'll do such roxking.

I’m legally blind myself with a condition called Albinism. I was so grateful to go to a summer camp like this when I was growing up for 12 summers in a row (1978 to 1990). It was called Wisconsin Lion’s Camp . It was located in Roshault, Wisconsin.

Thanks for showing the different forms of vision and some of the things we should or shouldn’t do.

all about royal enfield gun metal grey khalsa your sweetheart dont cry for them . I often see blind people happier than most people, one of the gifts given to blind is they can't see any bad. I went blind for 8 months and I got to feel the beauty of people around me. Being blind can bring out the very best in people ❤

the reporter talks about myopia wich is what i have but im not classed a visualy impaird as glasess help me i would say that having a camp for people who are blind is amazing also it being on youtube is even better because people will stop asking people whats wrong with them. eg iwhen i go swimming i have to take off my glasess because of my sight my pearents need to come close to me for me to know they are talking if i dont hear them or people will ask me why i am asking them the time because i cant see the clock.
@ettinakitten5047
@ettinakitten5047 8 лет назад
+nikkita burr Myopia varies in severity. Most people with myopia see fine with glasses, but some have it so severe that glasses don't 100% correct their vision. I have myopia and with my glasses I just barely made the cut-off to be able to drive. Some have it even more severe than I do.

I have that, too! Even though that’s not my main problem, it still makes it hard to do stuff. And the teachers don’t really understand, and I should just make a video about this.

Do the kids get teased?
@michaelchopra5614
@michaelchopra5614 Год назад
Hello. First, I will say that I am one of those kids in this video. To answer your question, are you asking about at the camp? If that is what you are asking, then no, we didn't get teased, at least that was my observation. If you're asking about in schools, then yes, for myself, I can say that I was. Looking back on it I don't understand even now, why it was done, perhaps a misplaced form of superiority or something like that, I have no idea. I'm 24 now and, for me, the camp was one of the best things I ever went to.
