Yuko Suzuhana has a lovely singing voice, and she's super good live, too. I had a chance to meet her and speak to her briefly at an autograph signing event, and she was really nice, too. I'm a big fan of hers.
They are a fusion rock band, but they do everything, from jazzier pieces like Synchronicity, more mainstream jpop-ish like Ame Nochi Kanjouron, to ballads like Okinatayuu and vocaloid covers. Their lives are like a curated art piece, with traditional instrument and dance performances.
If you write the romanized name of the band ("Wagakki Band") and the song ("Senbonzakura"), more people will find your video. This is a very interesting band. With 8 members, and many of them writing the songs, the influences are very diverse. Some heavy metal, hard rock, pop, swing and classical music (the singer studied classical piano), always with the traditional Japanese flavor (instruments and singing). A few songs: - Akatsuki no ito (it's more epic): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fcucbhJ-Orc.html - Ikusa (their harder side): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y5zj3dwNxJw.html - Okinatayuu (the sweetest thing ever): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WSUGASFlypY.html - Tsuioku (intimate acoustic version): Okinatayuu - Strong Fate (many people love it): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UyuzfQkUlyY.html
The band is called Wagakki band and the song is called Senbonzakura (1000 cherry trees). Yuuko Suzuhana uses her shigin voice (shigin is a type of Japanese poetry) which makes it quite dfifferent from most other bands (there are a few known singers at the most who uses this technique too). The song was originally written for and performed by Hatsune Miku. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Mqps4anhz0Q.html Wagakki band started out as a vocaloid coverband, but now they also write and perform their own songs.
This song is a cover of a vocaloid singer called Hatsune Miku, the most famous vocaloid. If you don't know what a vocaloid is, think sampling, but with the voice. They do live shows with holograms (of course, there isn't an actual singer!), lately the holographic technology has really improved, it's impressive. Here is the link to the original song: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xMQLi3FStiU.html. It's much faster, Wagaki Band arranged it and slowed it down. That is how the Wagaki Band started, doing covers, motly of vocaloid. Later on, they wrote their own stuff. They are amazing musicians.
This was a create reaction. "I'm screaming on the inside", judging by your reaction not only on the inside ! :-) But I don't think they are heavy metal. They are more rock. And fusion of course as mentioned. If you want heavy metal and some kind of fusion, maybe try Babymetal they are also Japanese. ;-) While Wagakki Band fuses their Japanese tradition instruments with all kinds of things. Babymetal makes fusion between heavy metal and pop vocals. While that sounds like they are different, in an other way they are the same: it's the energy they give to the listeners. Because Babymetal uses metal music, they are a bit louder. This song also has a lot of traditional elements: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cK3NMZAUKGw.html Please react, I hope you enjoy it.
since you liked Wagakki band so much, you should listen to some of their other songs such as tengaku (I think the mv is better than the live version but that's just me)
If you like them, you should check out Strong Fate. That MV is awesome and it displays the singer's (Suzuhana Yuuko) voice even better. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UyuzfQkUlyY.html
This band is amazing. In general, great things come from Japan lately in the J-Rock/Metal world. Check out BABYMETAL, Band Maid, Lovebites, Aldious.. a female revolution of music awesomeness.
I have to say that, I'm a straight guy, but I find myself watching this band to see the fashion - particularly the lead singer lol. But the music is insanely good, so it's a true complete package here...
@@user-ii5rh2jb4h いやあ、それはどうかなあ。OG3 Game CH.
