My mom gave me a great shirt for my birthday, the name of this band is in front, when I searched for it and find this, the value of this gift multiplied by 10 in my head
ALL of Blind Guardian is what we wanted, deserved and loved. No matter the chosen musical style, all of their music is amazing anthems and masterpieces. After more than 30 years of career, I am still waiting to find their first song I disliked
@@gomongioWhats with you people thinking you “ deserve “ shit.? I dont understand this concept. If it was deserved BG would have given you the album for free.
OMG! I thought i was finished going on live shows, being too old n stuff. After listening to this i am suddenly looking for tour dates and merch. What an album! Amazing!
As someone who grew up as teenager with BG absolut best era : Somewhere Far Beyond, Immaginations from the Other Side and Nightfall in Middle-Earth i have to hard disagree. Just listen to their best of DVD from the 2003 Festival in Coburg (I was there and it was fantastic). I think whole of Immaginations from the other Side album almost every song is better than whats on this new CD here that is not bad but imo also nothing too special. OFC its your opinion so everything good. I just feel like you probably not been around in BG golden years when they even had their own Festival
@@lordad to discuss music is nonsense, simmilar to dancing to a painting. That being said, this album is less fairytale-y and more grown up (in the lack of better description). Themes are really good, the lyrics fantastic and music....wow. I am huge fan, i was listening to their albums in the 90s, but to hear them shred this hard again....awesome. But hey, to each his own ;)
Almost 1 year has passed since this beautiful gem was released, and I can't stop listening at least one song from it. My absolute favorite from this one is "Secrets of the American Gods", such a majestic and powerful tune. *BARDS WE ARE, AND BARDS WE FOREVER SHALL BE!* 🎶
Ffff--!!! I just love this album so much that I use to play it several times a week. Heck, even thrice a day sometimes and that’s not something I’ve ever done before. I really love all the songs, but Destiny has really touched my soul. It soon became one of my favourite songs of the band… so well written, and it is infinitely better a song when I can truly get the lyrical references, which are highlighted by the spectacular composition. Thanks Kürsch and Olbrich for Destiny. I haven’t been this enthralled by a new song in years (for Western bands at least)
I am 40 and fan of Blind Guardian since the mid late 90s . This album is proudly standing among their top 3 albums ever. Cant wait to catch them on tour . Hope they will play this album on its entirety . Haven't seen them live for 20 years .
the word is Metatron.. a U.F.O. of fire.. a fireball.. the sun in the night the fire like water the light like water and fire.. the yellow like flashes the Black of the night like earth... thank to blind guardian for stay 4ever here
Much better than the albums before. Still not the Blind Guardian I learned to love as an 11 year old Tolkien fan back in 1999, but... yeah, it's okay. I think no one realistically expects from you to put out another Imaginations or Nightfall. Grüße nach Krefeld und so ;-)
This album is better than both Nightfall and Imaginations. At the Edge of Time is also better. You like those tso not because they are objectively better, just because of nostalgia. The last albums just have better production and finer compositions.
@@AugustSchroif What does "objective" means in this case? "Finer" compositions? If you like Blind Guardian from a...Nightwish point of view then it figures. Bright Eyes, Bards Song, Valhalla, Banism from Sanctuary, Mirror Mirror, Into the Storm, Welcome to Dying, Time What is Time and many others are straight to the point hitters. I personally like all eras of the band but the complexity of arrangements and orchestration or the cleaner production doesn't necessarily define "better" when it comes to music and especially when it comes to Metal.
Violent Shadows gives me very hard Way of the Kings vibes. Especially the Honor Chasm "The bridgeman can always cross the border Your choice to make, it's one more step Hear the chasm's calling"
Can't believe you're going to play in such a small place here in my city, as you'd fill the stadium easily.
Honestly didn't know Blind Guardian still made music. Haven't heard of them since i got A Night at the Opera gifted sometime in the late 2000s. For me it was one of those Albums where you think it's awesome but don't really want more. But this is still fantastic, i'll listen to them again!
ANATO burned me out when I first bought it and it got set aside. After many ages, I revisited A Night at the Opera and something clicked in my head. There is some incredible music on that album.
My brain could barely compute that it's not Blue Stahli, what a blast from the past! (Rhapsody of Fire is still cheesier thus more glorious though xd.) - Adûnâi
First:i don't have fear.i don't feel bad still after all. And i'm then KING, yes, this king about this discography. I meet with something interesting in my mind, and that this means i'm involved in this discography and nothing new in the Horizon and at least for a while Masterchef. I suppose that i was the strongest. This king about you don't want know nothing about him. Here am i.
¡UHHHHHHHHHHHH SUENAN RE BIEN! Al menos voy por la primer canción. Ojalá valga la pena el álbum porque, si lo vale, iría a verlos el 16 de Noviembre en el Teatro Flores.
I remember that in my childhood, by chance, an angel with a soft voice appeared at the window of my room, but his body was so blurry and his shape was so distinct. 🙄
Born hundreds of millions of years ago in the corner of the universe, as if he were the only human being born by God, he invades the earth and tries to wipe out all of humanity, and he is a demon-like demon-like demon who is a murderous weapon with excellent talent for transformation, and Satan who has no humanity. Nonsense Devil
It is from a book called 'The Name of the Wind' by Patrick Rothfuss. I won't give it away, its a good read and part of a trilogy, but only the first 2 books have been released at the time of writing this.
Thanks for postings, will buy recording because of. Didn't buy others because of now cliched power metal repetitive double based drumming that has become annoying, which now has added some variance
I want give you a littlle warning but i don't know exactly until where can reach this warning. I think this comes for a search that someone here in Spain called Nacho Rojo is triying fuck with this warning now in the streets (here you have for you run the streets), about a damnation that this i beg. This is about out our alliance arc. And this comes from here in Spain and about a morocho called Mohamed, and they are triying fuck with this.
But better than the recent ones (Like Opera onwards, except for maybe At the Edge of Time at least)? An example of an oft repeated term: "Return to Form"? Disclaimer never been a big BG fan but usually I assume "Journey"/"Imaginations" are considered the best? I'm pulling this out of....not my ass but out of metalarchives
Not as good as Imaginations From The Other Side, A Night At The Opera or Nightfall In Middle Earth, but it is easily on par with Somewhere Far Beyond and better than their first three albums
Longtime fan. This is probably one of the top 3 albums in Blind Guardian's discography, I can't stop listening to it. Bought it on vinyl and cassette both, planning to fly internationally to see it live in April. This band has inspired me to pursue writing and music in my spare time, even though I'm a little late to it. Kings of a genre.
First song is pure awesomeness, third one rapidly grew on me the more I listened. Just phenomenal to hear the quality and energy are still on such a high level. Those vocal cords are pure titanium it seems, never go bad. Can't believe how good the vocals sound actually, and drums are leaving me speechless. Love it! Big thanks for this from Serbia!
