Tony Gazza Everyone should appreciate all the beauty of the world a lot more than we do as humans. It can all be gone in a blink of an eye. In a little over one month I get to see Blind Guardian live and hear full "Imaginations" album on their last stop in USA. To say that I'm excited is an understatement. This band means a lot to me, and it has brought much happinesss into my bleak life (I have an incurable illness, go figure - I survive a war & then get this horribly painful illness, arghhh!). Cheers! \m/

I tempi d’oro caro mio. I primi tre album ( molto speed thrash) secondo me sono assolutamente da mettere al pari con gli ultimi 2 capolavori di fine anni 90. Poi secondo il mio parare da fan della prima ora Somewhere far Beyond è l’album più bello in assoluto mai scritto dalla band

@@googleman981 Beh Tales from the Twilight World sicuramente è uno dei loro migliori in assoluto, così come Somewhere. Battalions e Follow sono ancora un po' acerbi, ma il primo mi fa impazzire, adoro quello stile così speed/thrash. Comunque con i Bardi non si sbaglia mai, qualsiasi album uno scelga come preferito va bene ahah

Personalmente quei 4 dischi dopo il 2000 non mi fanno impazzire ( alcuni li trovano brutti molto brutti) io sono super fan e non li trovi così eccessivamente brutti ammetto però che sono un po’ sotto tono , con troppe stratificazioni sonore che smorzano il loro muro sonoro ( Baufield non mi è mai piaciuto come produttore ). L’ultimo the god machine ha dei bei pezzi e ha un po’ sollevato il tiro metal. Però non c’è niente da fare i BG sono quelli da Battaleons fino a immagination che mi danno una carica allucinante , dopodiché un po’ di armonizzazioni e orchestrazioni di troppo. Poi oh parere strettamente personale. Avendoli tutti e alcuni anche in LP mi sa che per completezza acquisterò somewhere far Beyond revisited che alcuni gridano allo scandalo commerciale ma che io acquisterò perché non posso non supportare una delle migliori band di power metal tedesco e non solo , aprendosi ad un genere diverso rispetto quanto fatto negli anni 80 dai cugini e amici Helloween .

@@googleman981 Sono una delle mie band preferite in assoluto. Comunque posso capire che da "Nightfall..." in poi qualcuno possa avere delle riserve perché lo stile è diventato un po' più ricercato e meno aggressivo, però tra questo e dire che fanno cagare ce ne passa! Per me "Nightfall..." è il secondo loro album migliore. "A Night..." pure mi piace molto, anche i più recenti "At the Edge of Time" (gran bell'album, che guarda anche a soluzioni più immediate), "Beyond the Red Mirror" (forse più pomposo di "A Night...") e l'ultimo (come dici tu, più diretto e puramente Power, anche se la produzione la odio) sono album notevoli. Insomma per me sono unici, hanno saputo fare qualcosa di diverso in ogni album e sì, si sono differenziati parecchio da Helloween e il power più canonico.

Hansi with long hair tho. New Hansi is not so much a crush.. I'd just love to sit & talk books with him, lol. They all look so young & happy in this video, hard not to crush on some tight 80s pants (and they knew it.. ya think back then chicks weren't noticing those pants? 😁)

Ineresting fact is Hansi didn't want to be the lead singer for the band he thought he wasn't good enough but after a disastrous show with another lead singer in the early days of the band, he had no choice but to be the lead singer of Blind Guardian

Didn't hear before they tried another lead singer... but I did read somewhere that Hansi was dreaming to be guitarist, and it was Olbrich who convinced him to take the vocals...

He stopped playing the base because he said he wanted to concentrate more on singing. Also he was saying about himself that he is a bad bass player

@@stephanmayer719 and it was a very good decision! Though it's remarkable how he sang and played the bass at the same time. It's also incredible how much he developed throughout the years. It's amazing how young they were when they started this band - and it's still working :-o.

It's a Jackson :D even Andre is using a Jackson in this video ESP hasn't started making RR model guitars until Alexi Laiho switched to ESP in 2003 because all of his Jackson RRs were stolen from his home while he was partying and Jackson was unable to give him a new guitar in time for the tour

It's an ESP. They were called ESP SV prior to Alexi picking them up, Kai Hansen was notably playing one around the same time as this video was filmed. But yeah, you can see the ESP logo plenty of times in this video so it's definitely not a Jackson :/

Yeah same here. I actually asked Marcus about this on instagram and apparently the RR was a custom shop and got stolen not long after this, so that sucks :/ I don't know what reason André had for switching though
