Sewing a blind hem can be a little intimidating, but it doesn't need to be. I'm going to show you how easy it is using both the sewing machine & hand sewing methods.
The blind hem can come in handy for hemming skirts, pants, or curtains.

I'm short so I'm always needing to buy in petite or have my pants hemmed. Now I can do it myself with my mom's sewing machine and even hem by hand for when I'm in a pinch. Thank you so so much!

Thanks so much for the tutorial! I just hemmed a pair of vintage corduroy pants using this method, took about an hour but the results are so worth it! I can't sew if my life depended on it so it's always frustrating to ask someone to hem my pants, and 99% of the time I need to hem pants as they are too long for me. I feel confident enough to do it myself now :)

I have hand hemmed a costume and a gown for my daughter’s performances the pst couple of years. I’m currently working on her prom dress and this tutorial is what I need to finish up her vintage inspired gown when the time comes. Thank you for your detailed instructions. ❤️

What does “ease in” mean?

It's when you hold the top or bottom fabric tighter to allow the feed dogs to pull at different speed. Or to hold the back of the fabric and pull the front of the fabric to slightly stretch as you sew.

SEW... no one wears cordoroid (sp?) these daZe,..., right? Can you being it up to the year 2020? Kid's blue Jean's? A man or woman's silk, cotton, slinkie pajamas, on a machine or otherwise? The hem of a dress or a man's dress shirt? That would be awesome, and might help kick up your YT subs? Love your expertise and calming voice, especially during these times... thank you, sweetheart.
