To those of you young enough to not realize this: welcome to the 90's (before smart phones), when it was downright inconsiderate to record somebody without their permission. Strange thing is, it _still is_ inconsiderate.
20 years ago and I am still living with the same sweet sounds of Shanny. If I could have done it different,I am certain that I would be empty and I am so grateful for all you left behind
Shannon took a lot of home recordings! I remember seeing some once. He really was special. First tune was Change. Started as a High School jock and then went over the deep end hippie. Perhaps his whole life was St. Andrew's Fall.
I agree I really miss Shannon too best live band I've ever seen Shannon gave 100 percent every show the movements were amazing and the song list ausome 3 times I saw blind melon once with dinosaur jr Neil Young and other with Lenny and 3 ond was like lemonh3ad with them or other 😅
FleaBagFriend You can see it in "shannon hoon bad interview" video, is already on youtube :) It's beautiful to watch when musicians enjoy so much while playing covers and own tunes :) Thanks for sharing, Blessings from Poland
@@ephesians.6 Like I said he was smooth about it. I can’t see the stash either. I wish cameras back then recorded like ours do now. If you can’t read the room or his body language than that’s your own fault. Why else did he kick them out of the room? Why did he appear aggravated then when he comes out he’s happy as hell. He was Still slightly iterated though… lol
this is the second time ive seen someone hit him on the shoulder and he hits them back like wtf are you touching me for. he must value his personal space
Shannon was a tough dude! He didn't put up with bullshit! Blind Melon's guitarist Rogers Steven said that when he first met Shannon he laughed at something Shannon did and Shannon immediately was up in his face ! Of couse they later became friends and bandmates. They said he loved to fight and had 1 punch knockout power. They said he would have gotten into mma if he was here today. He was 3rd degree blackbelt, standout football player, track, and wrestling.
He was seriously really badass he loved to fight and did not pick a fight he just didn't put up with BS and would drop dudes 3 times his size with ease including cops he hated them...if they messed with him that is..I am from the same hometown he is Lafayette,Indiana and he's well known here before he left out of a drug house being raided and got on fast track outta town to L.A. his sister was friends with Axl Rose who is also from here and axl left here in 1982 end of 82 izzy stradling is from here to..anyway shannon was wrestling star won title with a broken wrist or hamd I don't remember the dude was lil bigger and undefeated he was a excellent pole vaulter and football star as well total jock in high-school never...he was black belt by age 9 he def had heavy hands and wasn't afraid to use them either...he dealt some epic ass whippings lol now he's gone he's buried 3 miles from me I visit his grave sometimes its weird and so peaceful now it shows we all got a date with death eventually.
hahaha "will you please get out of here". you hear the soft voice and expect some little harmless guy. and someone left a comment calling him an asshole? haha im an asshole. shannon just likes his privacy. kinda cool to see him just in the back room enjoying his voice
Yeah well said. :) It said later in the full doc that Shan was mad b/c he was loosening up his voice and yes, he felt invaded obviously. I woulda said the same thing. I MISS YOU SHANNON. :)
@GDuBMuSiCk Incase you guys havent figured it out....he was recording something he came up with. Which is why he presses stop on the recorded before he says "will you please get out of here"
Wish Shannon would have reached out to.someone like eddie for help. Imo he needed a good year clean before he should have toured . Nope !! The company and bandmates wanted him to push a poorly reviewed album. Soup would have caught on ! It was a danm master piece !!
@GDuBMuSiCk Shannon always tuned his voice before performance, and he didnt want people to hear or see him tune his voice. Its a simple thing some artists are anal about
First time i saw this way back in 09 i was like why is that guy who insulted chris at the pink pop festival there? And there he goes again at shannon twice actually
