The great band I missed in the 90's. Just care for two songs, then, a few years ago I re-discovered them, they are one of the best bands I have heard. What a great band!!!!!!!

Isn't "Deserted" (41:30) one of the greatest songs ever to be written on this planet... Definitely written from the heart and played with soul 100% ! ... and surprise surprise! this new vocalist does justice to the song... thanks for keeping the legacy of Shannon alive! Two of my favorite guitar players ever...Rogers tasty leads and Christopher's amazing pocket ....they dropped dual Allman Bros like guitars in the middle of grunge...i loved it then and love it now!

Man what a damn shame it's the same thing just about each comment is "man never knew melon was badass" or didnt hear anything except "No Rain" if I had a penny for every person told that lol I hate HATE to say and admit it but i seen EXACTLY where Shannon was coming from back in the day he didnt want ppl interviewing him or them asking about no rain because they NEVER EVER escaped it NOBODY never gave them a second glance oh the guys sings more rain we love that song oh and the bee girl video...everyone on the planet knows that and that's ALL...I've had ppl say you mean they had more songs?? Duh yeah...that is just it B.M. is getting their respect but its after Shannon's death and 30yrs later...its a damn shame these dudes was ahead of most lyrical and musically also I can only imagine what the dudes had left after soup...I honestly believe the best was to come I believe they would have made 2 or 3 more epic records no doubt about it but then again you have to think about it this way if shannon had not died he may have been around today who knows they may have took the lumps from critics in 95 after soup it got bad reviews I mean bad they didnt hear another no rain and totally dismissed the entire record and that likely would have lingered like a bad fart had shannon not died and become an instant legend they "could" been remembered as oh yeah they was cool dudes had that song no rain oh yeah played Woodstock then they made a follow up record and it sucked so Capitol records dropped them and they all pretty much went on and did they own thing...shannon maybe came home here to Lafayette I am from there here as well lol and started working construction with his dad and raised Nico with Lisa and been regular joe but death iced his legendary status forever think about all the legends they are all dead they are more interesting when they die young rock stars look at Staley and Cornell and Weiland and Bradly Nowell Sublime Cobain etc Jim Morrison the list is long but death is a magical thing it creates instant legends just look who's still around say Axl Rose died at the peak of appetite for destruction fame in a car wreck or suicide he would be sought after hardcore...point is we all have a fascination with death it makes music more the better Idk what it is but when they are a tragic story it makes it way more interesting rather we admit it or not...I love B.M. I live maybe 2 miles from Shannon's grave and visit there sometimes and it's a shocking but yet peaceful end of 1 legends quick ride here on earth...RIP Shannon.

This performance is superb! I saw the band live in 2008 and I'm delighted to see they're still at the top of their game. I would have liked to hear some of the songs from 2007's "For My Friends" -- an AMAZING record! -- but all the 90s stuff still has that magical, melodic power that only Blind Melon has.

Been waiting to see Travis play with them again. Saw him with the rest of Blind Melon back in 08 and hated to see him part ways. He's truly a great person to have in the band. Keeps that good vibe alive. That's for the post!

These guys are still great and the singer sounds good sometimes. But it’s just fucking weird. Shannon was such a presence and his songs were such an expression of his self that it’s hard to watch someone else mimic that. I liked it better when they called themselves Unified Theory. You don’t have to agree with me. I don’t care.

I was there. The show was pretty cool. I am not so worried about the singer trying to be like Shannon. They sound good. Even the cd they put out with the new singer is actually pretty good. So was abandoned jalopy. If you like them for more then just No Rain and Changes then you will enjoy that release. This is timeless and classic and they rocked. Had a great time at this show.

Been a fan of blind melon since I was in Highschool early 90s. They sound amazing . Singer is great. My old band played a Melon Festival in Shannon's Town back in the early 2000s. Got to meet his mom and Kin. I'm reminded of how great Blind Melon was and is. Keep that music going on forever.

And to think travis was on heroin here. I met him in 2016 when he supposedly started doing meth and heroin again, but he seemed just fine! You can definitely tell parts of this performance are off though.

Does anyone else just think it's kind of weird that we have this new singer copying off of Shanon's voice? I understand that they want to play live again but it just tickles the wrong bone in me I don't know. He was one of a kind and this guy's a decent performer at best. The Passion in the original songs were created out of Shannon's struggle, humor, and life experience. This new person is just a cover band

Awesome band and awesome songs but Soup always hits me so hard. Blind Melon was so much more than No Rain ( great song ) but sad that most people only remember that and nothing else. Peace.

I saw them in Denver in Oct and they were nothing short of amazing. Its disappointing that Brad has stepped down for the time being, but Nathan is a great musician. Hopefully with Travis getting 100% clean (recent fbpost if you missed it) a new lp could happen!

Seen these guys in 08' in Charlotte. They did an awesome job...after the show they came out and drank beers with everyone that stayed and signed things, took pictures, and just hung out. For a melon head from the 90's it was a true treat...still have the poster I picked up at the show. ✌
