That was Microchips’ bad. You can see him try to stop the robot with a remote. Also I think Sunset’s magic was affecting the crowd, but I don’t think it was intentional. Like them ponying up while they get into their playing; their magic is still a mystery to them. I imagine it was a combination of Sunset’s passion and the crowds reaction to her.
First, 15:17-15:19: That machine was Microchips robot pet that he competed with in the Pet Show Short two-parter. I guess he was trying to upgrade it and something went wrong. He must installed Windows 1o on its operating system. XD. Second, I love both these songs and their messages. For Let it Rain like you said it fully displays Sunset's fan given element, Empathy, as she can relate to many people in understanding why they do bad things and how hard it can be. But like a rainstorm, if you hold through the weather, eventually the sun will come back out and you'll see the beauty in the world. No matter how darl the tunnel you can always find the light. Sometimes it will take a while and may require help, but you'll find it eventually. As for Cheer You On, I think it describes not just Flash, but the rest of the secondary and supporting cast, like Trixie, Bulk, Derpy, Microchips, Maud, and many others, they are just here for occasional support while the Mane 6 or Humane 7 do most of the real work, but when they can they help as much as they can and their contributions are just as important. Like in any series, while the main characters get the most focus and do the most stuff, the secondary and minor characters can still get focus and join the main cast on the fun every now and again, just because their not main characters doesn't mean they are any less beloved. I mean just look out how popular minor characters and secondary characters are in other franchises, like many of the Clones or Boba Fett from Star Wars. It doesn't matter what role you have in a series it's just as important as any other and there will be people who love you for it. Lastly, I think you should save the Holiday Special for last, but that's just me.
Okay. This was my first time seeing both “Let it Rain” and “Cheer You On” and I gotta say that I really like these music shorts! Of course, I like “Let it Rain” a little bit more that the other, still both great though.
I love that now more than once Sunset has been the one to channel everyone's magic (I think the other one was during Friendship Games. And of course her being the one needed in Rainbow Rocks too. And also when she helped everyone channel and control the new magic in Everfree.)

Find The Magic was an obvious one we all know and I loved it, but when Let It Rain and Cheer You On came up? Wow! Amazing new songs. I enjoyed them as well. Flash deserves better than constant hate by the most committed bronies out there.
Let it rain and cheer you on are my favorite with former your doing to mad days but you got to try and not let make you cynical or apathetic with cheer you on not everyone is going to be main character and have super power lottery sometimes you can only help small ways and make best of what you can do.
Josh Blackwell would have given him more character development. instead of i exist just to advance the plot f#$& you. which in my eye is high i see him. i don't hate the guy. i just see his reason for existing was just to advance the plot of the first equestria girls movie which a lot of people may agree with me on that. however others would say they hate him for other reasons. i mean i love sunset shimmer she is my favorite equestria girl but at the end of the day if SunPie SunLight Or SunSentry makes her happy that's all i care about. (those are the 3 i've seen i'm sure she's shipped with other characters).

You know after my last 2 days I needed this, nothing like a trip to the ER where someone steals your car while you are inside to throw your day for a loop. Watching these shorts with you has done a lot to defunfunk me tonight.

Hmm....In the past, I HATED Flash...For, obvious reasons...But his song, was actually pretty good! And he actually really helped save the day from that robot! 1. He grabbed the geode and gave it back to Sunset. 2. He threw the water bottle at RD. RD drinking it, then throwing it at the robot. He did help! I don't hate him as much now.
