You have wisdom that people twice your age struggle to achieve. Your reactions are both entertaining and insightful, and it's great that you try to understand and empathise with others. I just want you to know that you are appreciated and like someone else commented, you are a good soul.
The official video has Kasey sitting on a small stage singing for what looks like a wedding reception. The beautiful guests are dancing and having fun, ignoring her, as singers at pubs often are. Kasey is quite beautiful in a lovely dress, but everyone looks right through her as she sings. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Not_Pretty_Enough "The song was written by Chambers as a commentary on the reluctance of commercial radio stations towards playing her music, despite her being an established performer. However, the single prompted Chambers' commercial breakthrough and was most-added song to [Australian] radio station playlists in 2002."
I love your intro, you are so adorable, I don't understand why you don't have 775,000 subscribers, just keep being you and someday you will have at least that many and yes you and everyone is pretty enough just the way God made them. ☮❤
Great reaction from here in Australia.. this song was about commercial radio not playing her music.. and her asking why… and ironically this was the song that changed all that…
This song from 2001, is Kasey's commentary about the reluctance of mainstream radio stations towards playing her music; she fought against being pigeonholed as a country singer, as she likes to cross genres. Check out her 2016/17 song Ain't No Little Girl, it has a bit of a bluesy jazz style.
Kasey has the ability to share her emotions, to bring you into her world to share her life. My favourite of hers is 'Nullarbor Live', about being homesick.
Kasey Chambers is more an alt country singer, and she sometimes gets very alt. By the way, the song is about her presenting her music to radio stations and them rejecting her.
Hi!, I had never heard Kasey, I can't believe it 😱☺️ Her voice is delicate and brings me calm, at least in this song. Thanks for introducing me to her, I like this kind of music. Oh!, don't forget Dimash, if you can of course. 👏👋🎵
I think this is the better video for this song. The universality of our insecurities, regardless of gender, culture, age, position in society. We all struggle to be seen, or to hide, as our true selves
I wouldn’t worry about missing the original video. I think this one is much better. The original is set in a single room at a country dance/ wedding with her sitting on one side of the room pretty much just singing to guy across the room. This video adds so much more context to the wider meaning / reach of the song.
You really do talk a lot sometimes! But, more often than not, when you do, you hit several nails on the head? But then, you also talk so fast! If only Wakamole was voice activated? You could be a World Champion?
