It never ceases to amaze me how The Warning just can't miss! This song is a Dany showcase, she is going to be known as one of the best rock vocalists of all time!
It's so amazing how different The Warning songs can affect us. It's beautiful indeed. I love your reactions. No pretense. No agenda. Just listening to the music and really reacting to what the songs make you feel.

Your one of the only reactors who .noticed the imagery of the woman drowning then toward the end she is swimming and handling the emotions and embracing the feelings and swimming away.
Some info about the video: They played this song 26x to get all of the camera shots and angles. Ale was suffering from vertigo as she had undergone extensive oral surgery a short time prior to this. Pau said she could not raise her arms above her head the next day to even wash her hair. The water crew didn't finish recording until five thirty the following morning. They interviewed several models who had to be comfortable in the water. The Warning get to me too without "warning." It just happens. "Choke" is at the top of my favorite songs of theirs and I too love the simplicity of the light box and symbolism of the water scenes.
It's been said many times, but I'll repeat it anyway, each new Warning song you hear becomes your new favourite song. That means you have a whole lot of new favourite songs to find from them.
A couple of other fun facts about this video. The large safety pins on Paulina's long sleeve top were added just before they started shooting the video. Pau said she loved the look but it was too heavy to use for a concert. Before leaving their home to go to the studio Monica, their mom, asked if they had everything packed. The girls said yes. Dany even said she had checked her bag several times. When they were putting on their outfits Dany realized she forgot her belt. So, they all pack into their vehicle and frantically drive home to get her belt. All the while Monica is chastising Dany, it is raining, and Dany is feeling really bad. Remember, Dany is the oldest of the three. When they get to their house they realize Luis, their dad, has the house keys. They only have one set of keys to the house, and Luis is at the set, and they can't find a way into the house. They decide they were just going to video without Dany wearing a belt, but Marcella Joffroy, the wife of Rudy Joffroy, The Warning's manager, had a belt she lent to Dany. So, that is the story behind the belt Dany is wearing in the video.

It's okay to tear up during a The Warning song. I'm a grown azz man and they make me tear up sometimes. They are one of a kind and bringing the feels on.
Yeah, I'm right there with you. I have heard this song maybe a hundred times already. I was tearing up listening to it as well. You mentioned it and I was wiping my eyes... Not sure what it is that hits so hard. Part of it I think is the song for me. I also think I am so proud of these young ladies to go from that first video we all saw on RU-vid when they were small. I'm an old man at this point, 57 years old. I am so happy to watch women succeed in a world that was once so dominated by men. There music is so damn good.
The Warning and Band-Maid announced yesterday that The Warning will be traveling to JAPAN to do a show TOGETHER!!!! I NEED A TICKET! (and a Plane ticket, and time off and Japanese lessons...)

Yes, these three have a way of reaching out to you in such a good way. Let me drown. But I will be OK. Wear your tears like jewelry. We are who we are; be proud of that. Music has always been for me one of the most powerful emotional/feeling tools. The Warning sure know how to wield that power.

This was the first release off the Mayday EP (which later expanded to the Error album) and it was very clear that TW, and Dany's voice, had gone next level. They've talked about how producer David Bendeth pushed them, and helped them, to improve. Since then they've only gotten better, thanks to lots of touring (103 shows in 2022, 75 I believe last year), Lzzy Hale and Halestorm's incredible influence on and support for Dany and TW, and simply maturing physically, emotionally, musically, etc. Been enjoying your reactions!🤘
This video blew me away first time I saw it Dany's vocals are awesome. Then I saw it live at Teatro Metropolitan and was shocked that it sounded just as good TW are always amazing live. DPA write beautiful meaningful songs thank you that was a very nice reaction you rock. 🔥⚡

@flowersafterrainfall... if u like this song, there is a rendition in the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 08/29/22, 59MIN. In. At one point all the music cuts out and Ale sings "let me drown" 😢 and it is the raw'est moment in my warning journey. It's like they filled the rabbit hole with water and Ale pulls u to the bottom and forced me to be comfortable in the open, dark abyss. Js...Doogie
Don't worry you're far from the only one to get hit in the feels by them. I discovered the Warning around the release of Error (the album) and it already blew me away. Then last year when I was recovering from a rough spot in my life they released the Teatro version and it blew me away all over again. This time it felt like they wrote the lyrics for me personally when I needed to drown to resurface stronger. In four weeks I can finally thank them in person for everything they and their music mean to me. Oh yeah and see them live afterwards of course! 😝

3:08 I low-key get a tiny bit upset when reactors don't catch Ale's fantastic bass line through the 2nd verse. The melodic bit and then the super low notes.. Ooof! So good!
*Choke* to me *Choke* is about those times when you are overwhelmed by things in life and you want/need to work through it all by yourself without others trying to help... "just let me drown" in my troubles... The Warning are beautiful, intelligent, fierce, but also humble, and real, they are a rarity in the music business. I fear for them because the powers that be don't want that, they want sellout puppets singing about materialism, egocentrism, whoredom, drugs, etc.
