That's a neat blindfold trick. Dux can see from the bottom of the blind fold. Consider the fact that the guy was standing very close to Dux, so as to make it easier to see him.

So Scott Adkins is in the same situation 😅. Generally movie fans don't care if the actor be it hero or the villain is a world champion. Does the martial arts actor convince us in the movie. Does actor have that star power that charisma. Sadly many world champions are not good screen fighters. Scott says that in an interview movie martial arts is like dancing. Don "Dragon " Wilson was surely strongest of all action stars of the 80's and 90's but sadly lack screen presence of the martial arts film sensations of those time.

I really do owe Don a massive apology because I just thought it was story after story, but now having watched all these interviews, I realise he commands the utmost respect. The bloke is the real deal wasn’t just talking Hollywood as it it were, and I have no doubt what he says is the absolute truth. Frank Dux really must be completely deluded, especially when suddenly changes what he said in the beginning. It’s like he traps himself in a lie with a lie, because all of us that train martial arts know that you fight blindfolded. Even in Wing Chun I have never known blindfold to be used in training. Perhaps with the Mook Jong practicing forms is the only thing I can think of. Anyway I hope at some point Frank Dux takes a good look at himself and realises no one affords a liar any respect or believes anything he says.

I love that Don brought up the mental condition of someone that thinks they are the best at literally everything. when I was in my mid 20's (not quite 2 decades ago) I worked as a security guard, and was working a shift with a new guy that was a couple of years younger than me. Because he was the new guy, our boss asked me to show him around and help him get familiar with the place. As often happens, we started casually chatting about our personal lives a little and since my Martial Arts background at that time was that I was a 3rd Dan black belt in Taekwondo, when he asked how I was defend myself if anything went wrong, I mentioned my background. At which point he claimed to have 10 black belts in "Kung fu". Now of course I didn't know anything about this guy, so I didn't call his bluff, but during the rest of our shift we kept talking and I mentioned that my previous job had been working at KFC. Well he claimed he was a master chef, (yes he actually used the words, "I'm a master chef."). Again, I didn't know anything about him, so I thought that maybe he was a good cook and might just be exaggerating. But by the end of the shift, not only was it obvious that he knew little to nothing about cooking, he also could not name any individual Martial Arts styles and only knew generic terms like "Kung Fu" and "Karate" but everything he had ever done (or claimed to have done) up to and including being a hair dresser, he was the best. lol

I was at the tournament in Barstow that Frank Dux is talking about where he did indeed spar challengers while blindfolded. I know it sounds absurd but I assure you I was there and it did happen. I was 5 or 6 years old it must have been 1990 or 1991. My dad remembers it much more well than I do of course. This was in the karate days of the 80s and 90s before mma really came on the scene in the US.

The most fascinating thing about Frank Dux, is how much energy he invests into talking about his own life and own accomplishments. Your legacy is based on what other people say about you... not what you claim about yourself. It's as if Frank is some kind of enormous inspiration to himself. His biggest influence is himself 😂 Imagine Michael Jackson explaining how his life changed when he first heard the Thriller album. It's so strange hearing someone talking so highly about themselves constantly. Surely it's a sign of mental illness.

I vote for an exhibition tournament instead of one match. Perhaps Muay Thai with throws allowed, if not a version of MMA rules. Single or double elimination tournament, maybe over a few days or a week, or maybe two weekends. With a good 16 or 32 competitors, which could include Don “The Dragon” Wilson, Mohammed Qissi, Abdel Qissi, Frank Dux, Michael Jai White, JCVD, Simon Rhee, Phillip Rhee, Jeff Speakman, Benny “The Jet” Urquidez, Marc Dacascos, Keith Cooke, Keith Vitale, Billy Blanks, Loren Avedon, Gary Daniels, Dolph Lundgren, and others.
