Sleeper track from Self Titled. When it released in 2004, I didn't think much of it, as I was used to their Enema and TOYPAJ sound. Listening to Self Titled now...it's eclipsed both of those albums for me and really demonstrates how baller Blink really is (was).

Yup, totally underrated. It took me a very long time to like this album, I think I probably listened to it a handful of times when it first came out and I basically shelved the CD and never played it again. It was only until a few years ago, actually around the time I started this channel and revisited, and boy was I wrong about this record.

In my opinion that is the best song of that album. I always wondered how it was played (it looked a lot simpler than I thought, especially the solo). Awesome job as always, you nailed it. Future cover idea: Deviates-Come with me.

Just randomly going through some guitar covers from you and Jon Poulin and I saw a comment I left on your cover of Stockholm Syndrome from 2019. I said I would love to see you cover Asthenia or Go with that 339 (without complementing your cover of Stockholm, which was great btw) and you replied back. Somehow missed this coming out earlier this year but I'm glad to see you're still at it. Covid still feels like a time warp to me. This video is awesome though thank you for making it.

Hey man can I ask you something? In the interlude I cant figure out the chord progression. I see you go from 5 and 7 on the A and G string, then maybe 2 and 4? I'm not sure what strings. Then it looks like 3 and 5 on the E and A strings?

Awesome! What do you use for backing tracks with no guitars?

Thanks, I typically just use the original track and mix the levels so that my recorded guitars stand out in the mix. A lot of these songs you can't find instrumental versions or even with no guitars so that's the only way to go. I've done a few Green Day and Blink songs with only my guitars recorded, mostly their most popular hits which those can be found online.

Thanks, Chris. Yeah, it's being sorta forgotten lately with the other amps right now haha, but still a beast on its own right. Sounds great on its own but it definitely needs a boost or OD pedal to get it where I like. The SD1 is super underrated, thank God I finally cave in and gave it a shot, super inexpensive too.
