Take him to a Falling in Reverse concert. As great as Blink is and that was the first pop punk band i fell in love with, it isn't even close to Falling in Reverse live. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lmtgR-9vqis.html&ab_channel=sioproductions
You know what I respect most? They're not lowering the key to make it easier to sing. Instead, they're picking different, easier notes to hit and making a new melody out of it, that's WAY more interesting to listen to than a transposed version. I get to see them in a month, holy shit!!! 😊
only a handful of their songs on this tour are transposed. Edging, Bored to Death, and Not Now (when they play it) are a full step down, Adam's Song is a half step down from the typical D Standard tuning for that song as well. I feel like most artists at this point would've just bit the bullet and transposed everything a half step down though getting into their 50's!
Maybe if they changed the setlist more than a song or two it would be, or at least mix the order up. I can’t even believe they don’t do it for themselves due to boredom. Their show is so monotonous and lame. Even the talking in between songs has been the same. That’s a new level of lame to rehearse your small talk.
That little part at 44:14 where Tom realized he's supposed to be helping Mark with the harmony. And he just saunters back quickly. Brings joy to my aging grease filled heart.
Who ever filmed is currently my new hero. I wanted to go to that show so bad but wasn’t able to make it. This will never be as good as being there but this makes me happy seeing what it was like. 🍻 Preciate cha!
@Evan Frazier I went to one of the Chicago shows the Detroit and Cleveland I'm going to Nashville later on in july so I have a bit of a break to recover lmao
@Left JAB most T shirts were like $45 I think they have ones with the specific show and date on them which is pretty cool I think but otherwise probably better off buying it online
I’m actually surprised how Tom’s voice still sounds fresh even after a couple shows. Clearly taking care of it which is a good thing for the rest of the tour! Up All Night & Bored To Death are awesome!!!
@@wriglarzzz I'm wondering if Tom was doing any writing for them since he still had ownership of Blink. The lyrics are more Tom than anything Matt has done, and when he performed them it was just better frankly.
@@MrJaybeezy123 no he was fired from the band lol. And he was apparently trying to make a spaceship with 6 retired cia agents and release UFO information with the government 😂
@@wriglarzzz don't think you can be fired from something you own when there's no board of directors. He still collected big $ from blink while he was away. Not sure about spaceships but its a fact he works with high level government officials regarding UAPs and actually did have a hand in the DOD releasing the first ever official UAP video acknowledging these phenomenon are real, and that we don't know what they are. It was one thing to poke fun at it when it seemed like a crazy theory, but keeping it up after he's been proven right is ignorance.
This was the fifth time I've seen blink in Cleveland. First time at an arena. Outside of my very first rock concert in 2001 ( Alkaline Trio and New Found Glory opened ) this was Tom and blink's BEST performance. Our VIP meet and greets in 2016 were unreal, but having Delonge back at such a high level was magical. I only almost cried four times, I swear.. I've never done that. 😅 Much appreciate this upload ✈️👖🧥
From what I've seen, every show on this tour has been better than any others they've done previously performance wise. The intimacy of their early shows can't ever be touched again, like spring break Daytona. Man that was such a great show.
I wonder if before Tom coming back they had a discussion with Tom like -Hey Tom you know how you used to sing your parts all weird live? can you not do that now and just sing as close as you can to the album's? 😂 Tom really really improved on his singing it's crazy good now
I think there’s a backing track perhaps too that’s blending in? It is very evident on backing vocals where there’s more parts than the two of them. Now on Bored to Death where Skiba sings in studio version there’s not (that I can hear) and ‘rescuing a tiger from a tree’ is really rough and the delay catches a bad note on ‘tree.’ I’m not totally up to date on pitch correction especially live (last I was really familiar was like 10 years back now and recording not live) but it should be able to do better than that line for sure (and more parts too). On a quick listen at a handful of tracks here I don’t see heavy pitch correction really, it’s still pretty pitchy throughout. It’s not great quality and there’s audio being played a lot of other vocals but I’d think it would be better basically if it was being pitch corrected, at least throughout.
@@DaFreezeey This isn't the first time they've used pitch correction. But even still, the energy is undeniable. Mark is also using pitch correction. You can really hear it when he says "crowd" on Edging, but so what?
Probably one of the best gigs I've heard them play, genuinely makes me so happy seeing these three killing it after all these years, I guess this is growing up!
Wow Tom finally back in the zone. And instrumentally the band sounds better than ever. So happy for them. At this pace by the end of the tour they might reach a new prime
Im so happy seeing this guys back together again. Almost makes me cry😢 because my brother had cancer & pass away recently months ago, me & my brother are really love this band since we're teenager back then. I hope this band can go longer. Rest in peace brother..
I was so pumped for this concert... Shout out to the people I met at Whistle and Keg when i was asking people Blink trivia questions while in line and giving out free beer if they got it right! I know this show is locked in my brain somewhere... unfortunately I don't remember as much as i should because i had 1 to many.. but damn its still a great memory and i know i finally got to see Blink live... sort of haha.
I saw then in sunrise this week and I’m buying tickets for Vegas show! This was one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time!!!! Long life to Blink182
I remember seeing these guys do a private lunchtime show for the employees of MCA Records in 1998 in LA. It seemed cute at the time to be eating catered finger sandwiches and listening to some kids playing a bunch of punk-lite songs. They did pretty well for themselves with these punk-lite songs. Also fun to hear a band where the lead instrument is basically the drums.
Pitch correction is a little much at parts, making it a little artificial and squeaky clean. But, it has still improved their live performances quite a lot. They are also putting on such an entertaining show, very organic vibe, theres a feeling of these concerts totally being the “place to be”. Great banter too, it’s a colourful stage design, I love their gorgeous instruments. I love toms validation - Aliens are real. His new signature strat… fuck nice dude
Thank you so much for uploading this, I had a VIP ticket to go since they went on sale but had to cancel due to medical reasons just a couple days before it happened ☹Bummed i missed the real live experience but am so grateful that you uploaded this!!
You know what’s crazy..? When I was growing up going to my parents 80’s rock shows like Kiss and all that people would sing to their 3 or so hits, and the rest was just being drunk and cheering etc.. it strikes me that Blink is currently playing a show of what to me is all hit pop songs that everyone knows the words to. I’m a super fan, there’s not a song I don’t love and know the words to (especially of Tom’s), but so does the crowd. That is fucking impressive. Tom sure as fuck better have come back to kick ass like he is. What a travesty and a waste it’d be to squander this for himself and the people that love and invested into them.
Did you record of the openers or is this it? Also, how was the whole experience overall I’m sure it was out of this world. I’ve never been to a blink concert.
I’m sure it was great! I went in 2010 before tom left and it was crazy good and then went in 2019 with skiba and it was great too! Now I’m going to Dallas Tx to see then next month!
So apparently Mark sang Call me Maybe at the end according to the set list but i cant hear it at all. Sounds like something completely different after Dammit. Anyone able to hear it a bit better that can confirm
